Everything! Staff, shared spaces, cleanliness. Note: you need a car/taxi to get around. There is nothing nearby, but they call a taxi for you within 10 minutes and brings you to the centre for only 1000-1500 yen!

It is far away from everything, store or restaurant, Hotel does not have restaurant, but microwave etc. Taxi is not always available, One time, I have to walk about 1.5 mile to restaurant.

Some staff is very helpful, some is not quite.

Bit far out of Nikko town and with very limited taxi services a bit challenging, especially upon arrival. Breakfast options only available from vending machine and limited.

The location is not that near from the station, there is a bus stop near the hotel but the bus only go there 4x a day and I think the last bus to the hotel is 3pm or so. If it's not raining, I think it ok to walk.

I like the friendly and helpful staff and the facilities. The view from our room is beautiful and relaxing.

Design and layout of the hotel is fantastic. Spacious and understated elegance made for a very pleasant stay. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. The common room with the kitchen and coffee machine was a very nice and convenient feature. Really liked the local produce available at the hotel “market”

My only advice would be to add extra electric ovens or toasters. Since they don’t have breakfast service it was quite an ordeal to get to use the ovens to heat anything (specially when big families were heating stuff for each person it took forever).

It was really beautiful, comfortable and clean. The staff was unbelievable kind and helpful. Really lovely room. It is a bit far for the center but it is quite a lovely walk to do so we did not mind (and cabs where not expensive either).

Location is remote within the town, and not accessible by public transportation.

Almost perfect. It would have been perfect with a breakfast. No places nearby to eat breakfast as well. They have snacks for those ok with that.

Remote location- needs Taxi as buses are few and a bit far for walking. No restaurant choices nearby.

The hotel is not within walking distance from the center, and the public transportation is very limited. You'd better come with a car. Otherwise, you need to use cabs.

The location is really far away from the station and we had to take a cab…

The room is very clean and large. The staff are very friendly and helpful(provided us a lot of travel tips for us) The mini store is very convenient and the price is fair(same with normal convenience store)

Comfortable accommodation with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Short taxi drive from the rail station. Pleasant 30’ downhill walk to the shrines and the town itself.

Hotel is located a little bit from the station, we had a car so this was no problem but something to be aware for people that don't.

Hotel is new, fresh and clean. Room was big with a great layout. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great steak restaurant 5 minute walk past the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel!

The exit from the parking lot needs a two way mirror to help avoid accidents for foreign drivers not used to driving in Japan. The steps up to the lobby entrance are slippery when it rains.

bathroom with separate shower and toilet with doors is a very smart design and was enjoyable to use like my own shower at home. the location was convenient and close to Nikko with a rental car and parking lot was easy access.
