The location would not be very convenient to arrive without car, or at night. We came with our own car so no problem to arrive late evening.

The hotel was modern, like Scandinavian lodge design. Cozy at night and bright for morning coffee outside on terrace. Rooms were new, comfortable and much bigger than average Japan. We read reviews and knew that there was no food service. So we brought something for breakfast that we could heat-up in the common kitchen area and enjoy with the free coffee they provided.

Lovely property, with seats outside to enjoy the peaceful countryside. No restaurant, but apparently you could order some stuff (we didn’t realize). There was a communal eating area which was good. Hotel is about 2km from train station, all uphill. We didn’t mind, but a car would have been excellent to enjoy the area. But nice hotel

Very nice hotel with lots if amenities to make your stay comfortable. Great beds. Very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. There is no restaurant but there is a small shop and a dining area with ovens to heat up your meal if you like. And free coffee, tea or miso soup. Perfect and very quiet location for discovering the Nikko area. We had a car but if you’re on foot its a bit out of the way.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel was beautiful, new, and modern. The room was small but very comfortable and clean. The bed was soft and very comfortable. We loved the down blanket and down pillows. We have stayed at many hotels and this for us was as comfortable as a 5 star hotel room! The hotel was also in a beautiful and lush area. We were very happy to stay at this hotel considering that it was very good priced and very comfortable. The hotel doesn’t provide breakfast and has no restaurant but it has an area with microwave/coffee where you can use and also has free coffee and drinking water in the room

Location. There are only two restaurants near the hotel in walking distance. Absolutely nothing else in the vicinity. One of the restaurants had really great meat, and the service was excellent, a bit pricey, though. The bus service was rather infrequent. A shuttle service to the station would have been of great help.

The room was comfortable. The kitchen was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Amazing stay, no words, honestly! Great design, big and comfortable rooms, bikes for your use to go to the city. Even though a bit remote from the train station (just 5min by taxi, 1000 yen)/main sightseeing spots, I would definitely choose it again any time. Very sweet and helpful personell. No restaurant in the hotel, but possible to buy food food there (pizza, snacks), kitchen very well equipment and a bit pricey but very nice steak restaurant available nearby (7 min walk). Laundry available. We were a group of 4 and stayed in the very comfortable lobby hanging out until midnight. Just amazing. Thank you!

There is no bathtub or a public bath inside the hotel.

Everything was just exceptional! The beautiful entrance/lobby. The rooms were clean and really wide. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. It's a bit outside of town and the hotel is in a more quiet area which we preferred.

There wasn't much about the hotel we didn't like.

The hotel is unique and in a quiet location with serene views. It is close to the main tourist hub and we could get to the station easily. I loved the decor, and the rooms were tasteful, a modern twist to the traditional Japanese-Style rooms. You can bring our own food and comfortably get settled anywhere in the common areas. The staff are very welcoming and managed well as they have thought of everything a traveller needs. The bed was soooo comfy too, which we needed after a long haul flight. 100% would recommend this hotel and it was good value for money!

We had taken a bus to the hotel and were thus a bit stranded for meals. Used the prepackaged dinner the hotel sold, but these were not as nice as the rest of the hotel's features. Wish the hotel had even a small cafe. Also wish the staff were more familiar and helpful with bus schedules-- we had to plan our bus trips to Kirifuri Falls and to town center of Nikko very carefully, since there were not many buses running in early spring.

Beautiful interior decor-- loved the design and comfort of our room and public spaces. Beds and shower were great. Loved the proximity to Kirifuri Falls-- that's why we chose it.

Very clean & room comfortably designed. Modern fittings. A small boutique like hotel with minimal facilities. Free coffee at lobby area was good. We were prepared for no breakfast option so it was OK. Staff helpful in recommending eateries/restaurants. As we had a car, commuting was no problem. It was a relaxing stay.

The location is a bit of a walk from town and any place to eat, so you might need to call a cab. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but they do offer a selection of pizza and other prepared food and drinks. If you are up for a bit of a downhill walk, the Cafe NikkoSaryo is quite nice for lunch.

It's a new, modern hotel a bit out of town where it's nice and quiet. Very comfortable bed with trendy bathroom layout. Best mattress on our trip so far. Room is a bit small with a king bed in it, so large luggage is a pain. Staff are beyond helpful and friendly, so I highly recommend it.

Even if it’s a nice walk in between the nature, the place it’s a little far from the attractions. But there is a bus stop by maybe 2 minutes of walk from the hotel. Would have loved to have an Onsen there, cause the place it’s amazing

The structure is amazing, it create a nice atmosphere, starting from the lobby where u can enjoy a conversation on the sitting space, there is also a big table available to eat or have a coffee at morning. They have coffee tea and miso soup available for free. The staff was amazing, always available to help, even if u are not approaching them, there is lot of attention costumers related. Rooms are very spacious, with a nice design e comfort. I would love to go back

I had a car, but if you don't, town is a 25-minute walk. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but they do sell some basics like noodles and pizza. Busses pass by, so it may be workable.

The hotel is comfortable and good value. The staff were especially helpful.
