If you don’t turn AC, it can get really hot inside. The dehumidifier is loud so remember to set it to night mode for sleeping.

Nice traditional Japanese style room. Tatamis and futons are extra comfortable. The staff was nice and everything was easy.

I think there's only Jacob doing housekeeping in Ebisu. So he's kinda burnout-ish. Not really a bad thing but i think our house deserves a helper.

Unable to do laundry except during day time. The size of the room is adequate for two people, but a bit of a squeeze with two large suitcases. Felt unwell drinking the tap water, but travelling partner was fine.

Its a great location for the price. Get to be close to Kyoto station without paying for any frills. Size of the room is adequate for two people. Plenty of eateries close by. Towels changed and bins emptied daily.

Could have been cleaner - better stocked - laundry facility hours very limited if you are planning on sight seeing most of the day like we were.

The place was not tidy. We found a ball of paper on the floor, lots of hair - it looked like they didn't clean before we arrived. The sheets on the beds seemed to be clean, but the futons were very stained and dirty, if you look under the sheets. We also found a poop stain in the toilet, so they didn't even clean the toilet and bathroom. The place was extremely crowded, including the bathroom - in the photos seemed to be more spacious.

I only liked that I got the chance to stay in a ryokan for a very good value of money. The futons were comfortable. It is 8 minutes distance from the Kyoto Station which is convenient.

neither walls or doors have any soundproof qualities, you have to be very quiet and your neighbours as well, room is very small and futons cover almost all the floor space

Maybe I’m not used to them but I felt the bed rolls were a little thin. I was a bit sore in the morning.

The room had good air conditioning which was a relief from the heat. The receptionist spoke English well so check in was easy for me.

It is closed to Kyoto station. The staff are amazing ( 5 stars staff) very nice and helpful.

Rooms were not value for money. You could book full service hotels for the same cost. Not much amenities were provided. Does not match the expectations of staying at a traditional ryokan.

Located at 8 minutes distance from Kyoto station and Kujo Metro Station. Room and bathroom was clean. Room we selected was a decent size

No curtains so very bright at sunrise especially at summer which can be around 4-5am.

The traditional flooring and walls, free yukata, plenty of spare bedding, very close to the bus station and train station

The bathroom feels a little cramped since the sink is in the shower. Not quite the ryokan we expected but it is fair for the price.

The location is very convenient, close to Kyoto station. The room has a good size. The staff is very friendly and polite, and speaks english.

The room was clean but there was quite a bit of dust built up behind the toilet seat. The coin laundry service hours were from the late morning to early evening so we essentially could not use them because we didn't want to spend half a day of our stay doing laundry. There is a great laundromat 2 minutes away though, that is open from early until midnight. The staff forgot to give us towels the day we arrived.

Great to stay in a traditional Ryokan. Very friendly staff and not many available at this price.

No curtains for the sun, maybe they forgot to put, we realize about it late night... maybe we could have ask for them during the day. So at 5a.m in May its get up time.

The japenesse style is 10/10 even traditional kimonos are provided
