Chose this hotel because you can see the famous Tori Gate in the ocean, from your hotel room. At night, we could open our windows and sleep listening to the waves. Room size was bigger than average Japan. Good for 1 night stopover stay.

Sometimes a bit of noise from street cars. surprisingly the carpark at the front can fill up and parking down the street is required.

The hotel is situated beside the coast facing the sea. All the rooms in this hotel are facing the sea, although do note that there is no lift in this one so you have to carry them up slowly up the stairs The staff was nice and friendly. Helped us with the check-in and provide a guide to the layout of the hotel. Since this building is the annex building, if you wish to go for their onsen, please note that you will need to walk over to their main building down the road. The staff will inform you on that as well.

There is no lift, and we have to take the luggage up 2 floors. Also, we live in Japanese style room, and we have to setup the bed our self.

The breakfast is good! The location of the hotel is very good, it very near to the shrine. I can see the beautiful pacific ocean and the shrine from my room, and when I open the window, I can hear the sound of the wave, I like it so much!

The hotel and hallways have a certain smell and look to them that are a bit off-putting. As well, there is no elevator so if you stay on any of the higher floors, be prepared to drag your suitcase up a few flights of stairs.

The location was fantastic, right next to the beach, you could see the sunrise directly from your room, or walk right up to the tori gate on the rocks as well. The breakfast provided far exceeded my expectations and was delicious. Great bang for your buck.

I like the tatami very much and the whole set of things is ver amazing. and I have no idea how they can keep all the things as clean as new! the air con is very good and easy to adjust, just right at there! the bath water here is spring water I think since it’s blue. the breakfast is healthy with good tasting and view. all the room here can see the torii and the sea.

Don't trust Booking.com's directions; they give you directions to a different hotel nearby. The address is correct though, so copy-paste the address into Google. The bed isn't the most comfortable. Everything else was great.

Property is right on the beach. I could see Kamiiso no Torii from my room window. Staff were very helpful and even let me keep my bicycle inside the lobby under the stairs.

I loved everything about the hotel!

The staff were so kind and attentive and the views from my room and from outside the hotel at just incredible. I loved going to sleep listening to the ocean where I could hear the waves outside my room. And the room itself was beautiful with wood floors and work space - much larger than the typical hotel room in Japan I had stayed in, too!

Beautiful and close-up view of the sea and kamiiso no tori! The hotel also gives access to the ofuro at Hotel Oarai, which provides a sea view while relaxing in the pool~ Breakfast was hearty and yummy, and staff were helpful too! Hotel was also right outside the bus stop

It is at the very good ocean view place. It is in front of the favorite place, Oarai Isosaki shrine and Kamiiso-no Torii. We go by bicycle, about 2.2 km from the Oarai station. The hotel staff are very nice and warm welcome. They support like a family. From the room we can open the window getting the ocean wind and sound.

Do take note that there's no lift (elevator) in the building, only stairs. It's advisable to travel light when planning to stay over. For people with knee problems, it is better to write in to check with the hotel staff.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was beautiful, comfy and cosy. The view out of the room and at the dining area was an amazing view of the ocean. It was incredible to view the sunrise at the Torii which was just within 5 mins walk. The breakfast was very delicious too. We definitely recommend this place for people who want to rejuvenate themselves.

Great small Hotel overlooking the ocean. Perfect for watching the sunrise from your room. Breakfast was spectacular and way above regular breakfasts in japanese Hotels. Location is great for visiting the shrine and close to hitachi seaside park. Very family friendly and will definitely come back, can only recommend.
