Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThere were quite a few mosquitoes in the room - I'd suggest taking mosquito repellent if you're staying here.
The location was fantastic. Just a short walk and you're in the centre of the city, surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars and far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise. The room was small, but comfortable.

NetherlandsEverything was good
Location is amazing. Rooms are clean and the hotel has a nice authentic vibe. You feel an absolute calm when you are sitting on the rooftop but you are seconds away from the busy center. The cable cart stops near the hotel and leads you to isola bella within minuts. The car park is nearby and the staff was helpful. Added bonus, Balou the dog is the cutest thing ever.

United KingdomNothing.
Great location; charming interiors; nice views from the main balcony/garden; clean and quiet room with a recently refurbished bathroom and a small (but perfect - even if to the back of the property) balcony. Very welcoming and nice owners/staff.

United KingdomThe property oozed charm. It was reminiscent of something from an Agatha Christie novel . Absolutely adorable. Wouldnt of been surprised if we’d bumped into Poirot himself. The garden in which we had our breakfast was fantastic. Tables with lovely wrought iron made chairs dotted here and there among the shade giving foliage. The staff were great, very helpful about things to do and recommend. Its location is excellent, close to everything as detailed in its advert but maintaining a paradise of peace and quiet. I found it impossible to pick fault with this hotel. Absolutely loved it

CroatiaAbsolutely beautiful hotel - an old villa beautifully preserved right at the entrance to Messina gate in Taormina with very friendly owners. The villa also has magical gardens where you can have an excellent breakfast. There is also a beautiful view of Calabria and the sea. I just fell in love with the place and the price is more than fair for the whole experience you get.

United KingdomThere was very weak shower pressure in the single room, and in the afternoon the water was also cold (not the end of the world in Sicilian heat, but some travellers may wish to know this). Also, because it’s a house you can hear everything. I arrived to an operatic performance in one room at 1am, and in the morning you can hear everyone in the house speaking, moving about etc. The staff were cautious to be as quiet as possible but you’ll need ear plugs if you want to sleep through. I did this and found it was perfectly fine. There are so many perks to this place it really was a minor issue for me. I also used an eye mask to keep the aircon out of my eyes as in the small room it blows right at the bed.
The setting is stunning. Best views I found of the area (especially from the sun terraces, these are ridiculously beautiful; except without umbrellas so fairly unusable). The gardens are divine too and the position of the villa is perfect for the town and the funicular. Breakfast is nice, but simple, and they work hard to drive away the wasps which are everywhere in Sicily in summer. The staff are all very helpful, kind and friendly, and went out of their way to help me with anything I needed. I stayed in the single room with a Mountain View - my terrace was bigger than the room! The room was sufficient for one person, though I did get bruises on my leg from walking into the bed corner repeatedly as the space between the bed and the wall is very small. Great value for the price though.

RomaniaI recently stayed at Hotel Villa Nettuno in Taormina, Sicily, for 12 nights, and it was a delightful experience. This charming boutique hotel is managed by two brothers, who along with their staff, make every effort to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The three staff members—Antonella, Luisa, and Milena—are exceptional, always attentive and ready to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk to the cable car and a 10-minute walk to the main pedestrian street, Corso Umberto, and the bus station that takes you to the beach. The property is very clean and well-maintained, and it boasts a spacious terrace with a stunning view where breakfast is served and where you can relax in the evening. The hospitality here is outstanding. Both the managers and the staff are incredibly helpful, always willing to provide guidance and recommendations for tourist destinations. If you're planning a trip to Taormina, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Nettuno for its excellent service, convenient location, and beautiful ambiance.

AustraliaNo Lift, however the Owner kindly carried my suitcase up the stairs for me, and it was very much appreciated !
I'm late with this review, having stayed in early June, 2024. Very kind and welcoming staff, and a short walk to the Town and Restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was a trouble for the ladies looking after the breakfast. Gardens were just so beautiful and peaceful, and the view from the Terrace was breathtaking. I have no hesitation recommending this Hotel 😍

AustraliaThe hotel was great, but don't drive in Taormina. We couldn't navigate to the hotel in the car (one way streets, ZTL etc) so ended up parking and walking. The hotel, does however have a nearby parking spot (extra cost, about 10Euro I think) and the staff gave very good instructions on how to get from where we had parked to the parking area.
Gorgeous property throughout. Although the decor of the room was nothing special, the common areas, including the garden and sitting room were spectacular. The staff, particularly the women who looked after us at breakfast were great. Lovely breakfast sitting in a wonderful garden with views over the sea.

United KingdomNothing really negative to say.
It’s a beautiful traditional hotel in an absolutely excellent location and with delightful staff. Breakfast is given in the most beautiful shady garden with one of the best views in the world. And at a price less than half of more expensive hotels without the view.

MaltaSometimes the water flow in the shower was slow.
The hotel is just five minutes away from the bus station and very near the main centre of Taormina. However it's very quiet once inside. The rooms were very clean and towels changed every day. The people running the hotel are super helpful. The garden at the back is perfect for breakfast with a view of the sea below. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning too.
