Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these areas, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeWe are two couples stay for 3 nights and we had a great time in Roma. The unit is in good location, walking distance to metro station and Vatican museum. I love the enthusiastic landlord couple, Lyuba prepared hearty breakfast for us every morning, all homemade Italian traditional foods, they introduced to us the gelato shop and restaurant that only local people knows. The room is clean and nice, btw I like the old fashioned lift made in 1936, so cool although you’d be v careful every time you use it. Marco gave us a bottle of wine plus a wine opener as a birthday present when we left(one of our friends is having BD soon). What can I say, Marco and Lyuba are really hospitable. I’d definitely visit Rome again and meet them again then.

United States of AmericaIf you are a light sleeper like I am, it was a bit difficult to sleep through traffic noise and light coming through the windows. Maybe bring a sleeping mask & ear plugs?
Hosts, Lyuba & Marco, are incredibly kind & caring, and their home is spotless! They also provide a delicious assortment of food & Italian coffee for breakfast. They have wonderful recommendations for sightseeing, food and travel within Rome, as well as throughout Italy—you will never want to leave them!

SwitzerlandThe windows can be covered with shutters, they still let in too much light though. It would be great to have some dark curtains in the room.
Very nice and friendly hosts - Lyuba and Marco. Our pleasant morning chats will surely stay in my memory :-) They gave us lots of useful tips about Rome and were always there to help. We even got a nice goodbye gift! Breakfast very tasty, wide choice, lots of homemade (by Lyuba)/coming from the own garden/lake stuff. Lyuba was also always preparing for us some snacks and sandwiches to take with. Very clean and spacy room, comfortable bed, spacy furniture to unpack all clothes etc. Cute old elevator in the building - like from the old movies!

United States of AmericaMy (M32) and my wife's (F30) experience in Rome would have been completely different without the guidance and accommodation provided by Marco and Lyuba. It was our first time traveling to Italy, and we do not speak any languages other than english (not even a little). Without going into much detail about our magical time in the city of Rome, the Vatica B&B Roma was the cornerstone to our experience. Between the location, the breakfast and espresso, the wealth of information from the hosts, I believe the booking paid for itself and then some. More specifically, the room itself was safe, clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, and a haven of rest.

United States of AmericaEverything was perfect!
Lyuba and Marco are genuinely 2 of the most welcoming and generous people we met on our trip. Their B & B was clean and comfortable. The location near the Vatican was perfect. They provided a delicious and large breakfast. Both offered recommendations for things to see and places to eat. They made dinner reservations for us which was very helpful on Saturday night. Little touches like slippers and beverages in your room were also very nice. Our room also had a lovely little balcony. We would have loved to stay longer and would like to return again. I highly recommend this B & B

United States of AmericaLyuba and Marco were absolutely wonderful hosts, making us feel part of their family. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible stay including preparing a delicious breakfast each morning, packing us food for the day, suggesting (and booking) restaurants, and helping with transportation. The property is a beautiful apartment in a historic property (original marble, lift, etc.) with modern touches and amenities. Location near Vatican is quieter, but very convenient with a metro stop within 2 blocks.

The hosts were the nicest people we ever stayed with. They made reservations for taxis and restaurants, provided us with delicious treats, gave us great advice, made us a take away breakfast because we had an early flight, and even checked on us to ensure we arrived safely. The family suite was so spacious, charmingly decorated, and comfortable. The ac was greatly appreciated on a hot day. The location was perfect for the Vatican and quiet at night.

United States of AmericaThat we didn't stay longer!
Lyuba and Marco were the most gracious hosts we encountered during our 2 week honeymoon in Italy. They provided great tips on getting around to places we wanted to see, made reservations on our behalf, shared stories over breakfast like we were all a family — I could go on and on. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. This was the best stay for us in our entire trip, just because of their hospitality. Thank you so much and we'll be back! 😀

United States of AmericaThe windows would benefit with some type of covering to block the sun light. longer in the day, that’s not to say they don’t have curtains, they do but they’re sheer. We got in after a long journey w/ o sleep and jet lagged so we wanted to take a nap in the middle of the day and the sun was hitting us despite the curtains being closed.l Another thing, a tea kettle to make tea would be good.

United States of AmericaWe just returned from Roma, where we spent three nights at Vatica B&B. Here's a Top Seven (for the hills of Rome) List of Things We Loved about Vatica B&B: 1) Our hosts, Lyuba and Marco, were exceptional. Like having guardian angels for our stay. When we arrived, after 14 hours of flying, at 10 p.m., Marco greeted us and then walked us a couple of blocks to an osteria that was nearby. Every morning Lyuba and Marco sat at the family-style breakfast table, where we were overwhelmed by the delicious pastries and fruit. Lyuba would pull out a map of Rome and talk to us about our plans for the day. Marco would kindly but firmly remind me that wedge-shaped foods (quiche, tarts, pizza) are never to be eaten with a fork. "John, that is illegal here," he'd say. 2) The MOST comfortable mattress in our outside of Rome. As much as we wanted to tour the city, we were tempted to hit the "snooze" on our phones. 3) A lovely tree-lined street. Oak trees, I believe, that have grown as high or higher than the 5-story buildings on the street. They brought an aesthetic value but also dissipated the street noise. 4) The room was clean and comfortable for two people. All of the plumbing is modern and the shower was HOT with excellent pressure. 5) Convenience. The nearest M stop is just two blocks away and the Vatican is a 5- to 10-minute walk from the front door. 6) The room had an espresso maker and mini fridge, plenty of closet space, and even a couch (that I used to store my suitcase and overflow stuff). 7) I must return to Lyuba and Marco. They are what set Vatica B&B apart. You must picture them. Marco, with his clean-shaven head and the physique of someone who could ride in the Tour de France (or at least Tour d'Italia), is a striking figure. Lyuba is also fit but what comes across is her infectious warmth. On the morning we left, she handed us a bag of treats for our train trip while Marco placed a bottle of red wine into my hands.

Luba and Marco were fantastic hosts. They gave us a crash course on how to move about Rome and suggested places to visit and restaurants to try. They booked reservations for us for dinner at two locations, answered messages at any time of the day, and their breakfast was an entire feast. Marco and Luba also woke up earlier and made us a breakfast to go on the day we checked out although it was before breakfast hours. The building is classic and well kept, there is a very old lift that was in perfect condition that we used to get to the 4th floor. The room was neat and spacious and we had our own private bathroom and keys to the main entrance as well as the BnB and our room. We felt safe and really enjoyed the privacy of our room. We are so grateful to have been able to stay at Vatica BnB Rome and will definitely come back. Thank you Luba and Marco for a wonderful stay!

CanadaLyuba and Marco are the most excellent hosts that we have stayed in our travels around the world. Property is well appointed, big, spacious and bright rooms. Near to the substation in Rome, and about 15 minutes to the historical centre. Far enough away to experience real Rome and not just the touristy areas. Lyuba and Marco make a WONDERFUL and very filling breakfast ( definitely too full for lunch) and were awesome in helping us book restaurants and taxis and make sure we saw all of the best of Rome. They are super friendly and accommodating. Even when I had a family emergency, they were super kind in helping me organize my travel home for a few days, and looked after my family while I was away, so it didn’t ruin their holiday. Choose the two bedroom suite!
