The few flight of stairs to get up to the apartment, but we only stayed for a couple of nights, so it wasn’t a big deal.

The steep stairs down to the bunk beds were difficult for me, but my teens had no problem.

Fantastic location on a quiet street just steps from the Rialto bridge! Past visits to Venice presented the choice between sweltering or opening the windows to mosquitos — the mini-split kept this apartment comfortable and mosquito-free.

There are some steps to reach the apartment so travelers with luggage should plan accordingly.

Its comfortable to travel with hosts like Marco who are always available to guide the guests to have the best experience. Apartment is well equipped with comfortable beds, bathroom and an operational kitchen which makes it easy for family travellers. You can feel the vibe of venice since the apartment is right on Rialto bridge.

There are a few things to consider and all of this can be improved with small adjustments: 1. Although it is not a hotel or a B&B, there are some things that would help visitors. We visited in April when it was chilly at nights. After spending the whole day out, you expect to come and rest comfortably in a warm bed. The apartment was cold at nights. What would help is to set the apartment to warm up when the temperatures go down below a certain level. Except for one night when Marco adjusted the temperature for the apartment to warm up, the remaining nights were uncomfortable. 2. In the shower stall, a fixture to place body wash and shampoo will really help the visitors. 3. The directions to get to the apartment were a bit hazy. We easily managed to get close to the apartment but as it is located a little inside, it was hard to find. Of course, Marco was super helpful and guided us when we actually called him.

The property is centrally located, at walking distance to all the main sites. The property owner, Marco, is a wonderful person who takes the time to answer all your questions and addresses all your concerns as best as he can. You can be sure that you will get ALL the details from him.

Was a little noisy at night, especially late night being so close to the action. But nothing a white noise machine couldn’t fix. Small price to pay for being in the heart of it all.

Excellent location approx. 50-100 m from the Rialto Bridge. We were close to all the sights, accessibility from the airport is also good. The accommodation is cozy, the owner was helpful in everything. The apartment had everything we needed, there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Venice is amazing.

The stairs down to the bunk-bed room have one very unstable side, and only a few slats of wood to act as a 'gate', by being propped against the stair opening. The entrance to this stairwell is one small step away from the dining table, and the 'gate' would not do much to prevent anyone from accidentally backing into the stairwell and falling down the steps, so I advise caution if you are traveling with small children.

Marco provided lots of excellent information on how to find the apartment and access it. It's in a terrific location, very close to everything we wanted to see and that we needed. It's mere steps to a main street with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops. I read another review on here complaining of noise at night, but we didn't experience anything like that at all. I made this reservation when our group was only 5, but when we added my mother to make it six Marco was attentive enough to our needs to let us know that we might be too tightly packed in the apartment, in case we wanted to change facilities. I appreciated his honesty in this regard, but we chose to stay anyway and everything worked out fine. Some store owner nearby baked fresh bread every morning and it was a dream to wake up to the smell of the baking! It also appears that Venice has very different rules about short-term rentals like this, so that owners like Marco are penalized and unable to provide any amenities to guests that other Italian city rentals provide - snacks, coffee, drinks, etc. It's a shame that Venice has had to crack down on tourist apartment rentals, so just be aware that there will not be any 'extras' in the apartment that you may have come to expect in other cities.

- was not very clean - very unsafe stairs with wobbly railing leading to bunk bedroom. Good for travellers that don’t have children. - hole in bunk bed room wall that leads to shared external stairwell

The location was amazing! The host was excellent and answered all questions promptly. The accommodation was easy to find and close to vaperetto stop, food and shopping.
