It did take a long time for the shower hot water to climb the stairs but once it landed it was great! :)

Hotel Sereno is indeed serene. Set in a tranquil garden this Villa has a wonderful history and the minute you arrive, you feel its 1915 past and its revamp in 1950. It now serves as a charming time capsule in terms of architecture,decor and pleasant Italian charm. The staff are delightfully kind and friendly. Whilst the english was minimal my little Italian got me by. I was charmed by the spaciousness of my room, the breakfast terrace and vintage settings as well as the vintage but comfortable inside dining areas. Outdoor furniture is comfortable and allows enjoying the well maintained garden. The jewel though is the hotels garden that leads to the road below and beaches. But before you get there lies a cute outdoor bar perfect for a nightcap or drink before dinner. I loved my stay here but if you are expecting new and modern stay somewhere else half as charming! The only thing that could perhaps have been improved would be the quality of the mattress, but, to be honest, that's being picky, because I actually had a great sleep there.

We had a room with a sea view, which was wonderful. For the previous part of our trip we had been in the Bay of Naples area and it was very noisy there. It was such a tonic to be able to sleep to the sound of the waves. We loved the decor, the space and the opportunity to eat on a terrace with a sea view. All the staff were excellent.

There is NO air conditioning, every room simply has a fan. When we asked they kindly provide US a second fan (we were three people) but we found a bit uncomfy the room, it was very hot. Take this into consideration if you choose this hotel in summer.

A charming villa from a bygone era with original furnishings. It is located right off the main road along the coast amid lush vegetation and overlooking the sea. We could see and hear the waves from our room. Very friendly hosts. However, the hotel might not be appreciated by tourists used to international hotel chains.

Probably because we were on the top floor it took quite a while running the shower before the hot water would arrive. If your not in a hurry it is not a problem.

Very friendly welcome and an old fashioned feel to the place. The location was excellent and the room offered sea views. The room was lovely and the hotel has its own gardens. You feel more like a guest in a friend's country house rather than staying at a hotel.

The hotel has a great location near by the beaches and city center. The terrasse is the best bast of the hotel with a beautiful view on the sea. Perfect for breakfast! The employees and hotel owners were so nice and make sure you had everything you need. I do recommend the hotel.

Our room was in side building which we didn’t expect. The hotel needs some renovations and some places of the hotel area are dirty.

The position was perfect - close to beach and Centre. Perfect bar in the garden. Parking for free. The hotel has a nice atmosphere like in previous century. The stuff was really nice, they prepare for us the children bed despite that they don’t offer it on booking.

If you like a quick and hot shower, you should have some patience :). But..., it will work out in the end! Advice: Ask in advance for a room on the coast line that completes the experience and will make you smile.

By my first arrival in Cogoleto, it took me a while to find the right location because it is hidden in a park. The friendly family who run the Stone Beach Bar (thank you) were very helpful. That immediately indicates how attractive this beautiful coastal town in the Liguria region can be. Hotel Sereno is run by a cheerful, enthusiastic hotelier who can tell a lot about the history of this monumental building and the surrounding park. The rooms are clean and authentic with beautiful details on floors, walls and furniture. The two friendly ladies who serve breakfast on the lovely terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea do their utmost to ensure that you lack nothing. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was fantastic. As a passer-by I enjoyed it and would like to go back to visit the many restaurants and terraces on this attractive coastline.
