Mattress is pretty firm.

It was easy to get to from Assisi and Rome. It was close enough to downtown that walking wasn't a problem at all. The room was large and spacious with high ceilings. It really felt like a nice base camp for someone wanting to be close enough while still keeping out of the crazy involved by being north of the river.

This was our fourth stay at Residence Michelangelo and like the name, it feels like staying in a beautiful residence/home, rather than a transient hotel. The hosts (Florence natives) are welcoming and help with reservations, recommendations, directions and basically anything you need. (parking on premise is important in this city) The property is walking distance to the center of the city. There are many restaurants near by which are frequented by locals rather than tourists. (much better).

Free parking with assistance from the owners on where to park within the gate, very polite owners, cleaning service is very good, thorough walkthrough on how to enter/leave the property, great location with bus access.

Wonderful owner (I assume at least she’s the owner). We had a great stay here. I loved that the room had a full kitchen! Parking was safe and onsite. Very close to the bus that takes you into the city in just a few minutes.

The residence is well maintained with very clean rooms and facilities. Daily cleaning. The location is just outside ZTL and easy to access both by car and public transportation to town centre. Angelina was very friendly and helpful. Much appreciated. Will choose to stay again in the next trip to Florence.

Truly beautiful, but a bit of a walk to city center. Lots of charm and character and the owners are very helpful. Adjoining apartments were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were updated but the shower in the one apt was a little slick

This is a pretty special property with beautiful rooms, high ceilings to provide a feeling of space. A perfect location with car parking to walk around Florence. Cafes and non touristy restaurants all within easy walking.A delightful retreat away from the hustle of the Town

Can't think of much. Even the children noise coming from the daycare or playground near the nearby church during the morning was not of nuisance.

Breakfast was not included since not a hotel, but well equipped kitchenette was available in the room. Angelina, the property manager was very kind and helpful. She recommended some very good restaurants and shopping places in the vicinity of the hotel.

Only one complaint - no coffee or tea on the premises. It had a cute little kitchenette but I didn't know in advance and didn't bring any food with me. There's restaurants a block away

We got very lucky we got to stay here. We will remember it always. Room in this villa was truly palatial from every perspective. Lovely bathroom with french double doors. Gorgeous views of beautiful gardens. Really nice staff

Beautiful residence near the city centre (10-15min walk) but away from the crowds with private parking and clean, big and comfy rooms. There are nice cafes and restaurants nearby. When we return to Florence we'll definitely come here again.

Great location outside of the main tourist area, just a 10 minute walk to Piazzale Michelangelo and 30 minute walk to the city centre. Plenty of bus options too. Location was lovely and quiet and yet the local area had plenty of good restaurants and shops. Host Angelia was very helpful at all times.

We originally chose this place because of the free parking and it was outside of the ZTL, but there are so many other reasons to choose this place. We loved staying at this villa. It's a little bit away from the congestion - a very good thing! - and taking the C4 bus gets you to Ponte Vecchio to save some time walking. Also, it is a short walk up the hill to Piazzale Michelangelo, which you will want to visit at least once for sunset. Angelina and Cherubino - thanky you very much for making our vacation enjoyable and memorable. We highly recommend staying here!

The busy/noisy road outside the villa…especially on the weekend

Loved the neighbourhood and privacy. Beautiful walk along the river into old town. Lots of yummy restaurants to choose from.
