Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandCould be more trash bins in the apt. Pity the shower doesn’t have holders for shampoo etc as it’s very tight to get off the floor.
The location was good. Only disappointing part was on arrival our taxi couldn’t find our apt and it was late and very dark. We managed to find ourselves once we got out. Reception were easy to contact and helpful. Let us leave our keys at the apt as we were walking morning we left. That was much appreciated.

United KingdomThe steep hill up to the apartment. Long walk to centre as not easy to park your car in the centre and costly to keep parking.
The apartment was v good and very Independant and private. Beautiful setting amongst the olive trees.

United KingdomWe we used a taxi from the airport. The keys are collected from a different location to the apartment and it cost more to arrange the drop-off for that. Apartment is quite far from Garda Town - but we did know that when booking.
Apartment was nice, air-con brilliant and greatly needed. Pool was good. Location to lake beach (via private pathway) was brilliant.

SwedenThe shower cabin was rather small and was not appreciated by the taller/bigger persons in the family. The lights in the kitchen/living area was not enough. Especially the led light over the stove. You have a private parking with a number (that is not clearly marked) and it is taken by outsiders which made everyone switch. Got another one from the reception to use but a little inconvenient. Better PRIVATE signs and give them a fine maybe a solution. Also many cars wrongly parked in the hill street from the main road which made it a bit difficult to drive by.
We got a positive surprise, don't understand the some what low rating. Spacious holiday apartment in a nice garden area. AC in both bedrooms and also downstairs. Worked very good. A fabulous view of Garda Lake from upstairs. (Had a two bedroom apartment) Clean sheets and towels including a pool towel. Extra sheets available in wardrobe. A nice terrasse outside with furniture and umbrella including 2 sun chairs as well as a fireplace. Really nice pool area. You could bring your umbrella or use the olive trees as shade as well as sunbed with head roof. Access to Garda lake just on the other side of the road. The kitchen was ok equipped for holiday. Window shutters every where for total dark apartment. There is a holiday resort further up in the hill where you can buy bread as well as eat. Otherwise a 15 min walk to the Centre.

Czech RepublicParking places very small. Parking on the number of appartment, but one day we came back and our parking place was full, so we had to park on another place. Parking in big hill.
Big appartment, ideal for 4 people. Everything clean. Very close to the beach. We had very hot weather in August, but air conditioning was working good.

United KingdomParking! The allotted space was not easy to access the car from once the cars had all been parked . . .we only had around 12inches to get in / out of the car and were concerned about the chance of damage to the cars The initial directions were OK however the place is poorly signposted from the main road. Although all Open Plan the kitchen was not ideal with a hob, sink and fridge freezer in one location and the preparation area and storage effectively being in the lounge area
The keys were picked up from the reception of another facility some 10min drive from the apartments which was OK as we had a Hire Car, Our Apartment (126) was slightly off the main path so a bit more sheltered than some. The pool was an added benefit that was well used by our teenage sons. The beech although convenient was only a 3m wide stretch that ran between the shore of Lake Garda and the neighbouring properties for around 500m Convenient for Garda being only 5min walk to the beech and 20mins into town

NorwayParking there can be a problem since locals park there when they goes to the beach. Cheap outdoor furnitures. Sunbeds are reserved by other guests from early morning, before the pool has opened.
Comfortable beds, good AC. Close to the beach, you can walk to Garda. Cozy village with olive trees and flowers.

United KingdomIt's a little frustrating to have to pick the keys up at another location. Fine if you're arriving in the daytime like us, but could be more difficult by night. Two issues I had with the apartment - 1. was the shower drainage. The shower itself was hot with very strong pressure. We used it at different times of the day and always had hot water. The only issue was that because the drainage was so slow, you ended up standing in a pool of water while showering. Not the end of the world but slightly annoying. 2. The fact that there are no personnel around if you need them for anything. We didn't need anything but if you did, you'd have to ring reception which is at the other hotel and I don't know how quick or easy that would be. Clearer signage would be very useful. We were with people staying in other apartments and took ages to find them.
It's a bit inconvenient having to stop at the sister hotel to pick up the keys, but it was quick and efficient. The lady who met us was friendly and profressional and gave us information about the property. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. The pool was lovely, a short walk from our apartment. We are a couple with one child, aged 7 who spent her whole time in the pool! There is a shop which sells basic food that you might need with a steep hill to get to it! There is a restaurant at the top of the property which we used for a few meals, It has a lovely view of the lake and a varied menu - the food was delicious. The living area in our one bed apartment was good, very spacious, big dining table, and we were lucky enough to get a balcony with a lake view (properties are different, some have a garden area with outdoor seating, ours had a balcony with table and chairs.) We had a twin bedroom with plenty of space, and a huge wardrobe! The sofa bed in living room was very comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen facilites were basic but enough for a stay. There is no oven but there is a microwave, which we didn't use, we used the hob. There is a huge fridge and freezer for food. Cuttlery and plates/ bowls/ glasses/cups are provided, as well as cleaning items - mop, cloth, sponge, floor brush. There is a big bathroom with shower. You get towels and sheets. You have to make the beds up yourself. The apartment had very good air conditioning. Overall, a lovely place to come and stay for a few days if you want to explore Lake Garda. We would stay again.

Czech RepublicOne of the rooms was accessible by stairs only (3/4 stairs), which was very uncomfortable at night time. Also wifi signal wasn't strong enough in our appartment 143, so wifi was literally useless. Also parking slot for our appartment wasn't roomy enough, there was a tree next to it, so my family had to leave the car and I had to park just next to it so only I could leave the car.
Accomodation was very comfortable even for family with 2 small kids (4yo, 6mo). Althrough there are many appartments together, we still had enough privacy feeling. We also appreciated there was pool and private access to the beach, and water was warm enough even for late September. We also appreciated that there were beautiful olive trees everywhere, and the whole place had the sence of peace and calm, which was very relaxing.

BelgiumThe kitchen could have been bigger (no much space to prepare the meal), the parking was tight to reach and to maneuver
The pool was a nice refreshment after a day around, the airco kept the apartment cool in these crazy warm days , and it was nice to have a view of the lake. The mattresses were not too soft and not too hard.

Czech RepublicStupid rules at the pool (no balls playing, no use of inflatable toys), as we were traveling with the kids. Fortunatelly nobody fillowed the rules so we enjoyed in the end. But should there be anyone requiring the rules to be kept it would be disasterous for the kids.
The appartement is located 5 min walk from the lake and 15 min walk from the centre of Garda so it is a quiet location but close to the town. Small grocery store located only 2 min of walk. I think the location is just perfect. There are around 40 apartements in the resort but there is reasonable distance between them. The pool was great. The appartement has plenty of wardrobes and looks more less as in the pictures. It is not new, nor luxurios but is very clean and convinient to enjoy your holiday.

Local restaurant and swimming pool up another big hill so we couldn't avail of it.

United KingdomThe property describes itself as an apartment, suggesting an apartment building in a town, but in reality it is a ‘hut' in a 'holiday camp’. The allocated parking was occupied by another vehicle on arrival. Parking was in fact quite random and the issue was never addressed by the staff. The kitchen facilities were poor, lacking an oven, adequate work surfaces, or even a draining board by the sink. It was like camping in a caravan. There was a lack of power outlets throughout the ‘hut’ and only one in the kitchen area, so that one appliance had to be disconnected to use another (hopeless). The microwave was kept in a cupboard and a toaster was not provided. The wifi coverage was dismal (one bar), which did not extend to the bedroom where the signal was zero. The best place for wifi was actually outside, indicating that the router was external and serving several ‘huts’. Usually apartment owners leave some basic supplies, but there was no tea, coffee, filters for the coffee machine, salt, pepper so all this had to be bought in, in quantities we could not use in 4 days. Guests are expected to separate and recycle waste according to local regulations, but separate bins were not provided, so we used plastic bags which we had to keep on the kitchen floor. The large collection bins themselves, were hidden away on the site and not indicated, necessitating a call to the admin office. Overall this property was inconvenient to live in, badly thought out and poorly located. It cannot be recommended.
The weather was nice

United KingdomThe kitchen really needs improving. Basically no counter space to do the prep etc. No kettle and no toaster. We had two days without any hot water and then one and a half days when the air-conditioning didn't turn on - quite suspiciously, it switched itself back on at the time of check-out on our last day!! The check-in process is still inconvenient even though the key pick-up has moved from Bardolino to Garda - it's a fair walk in the heat just to pick up the key!
The pool is delightful. Lovely shade from the olive trees that surround it. Nice and close to the lake and just far enough away from the town to be nice and quiet.
