The hotel room is clean but some items a bit old and needs to be fixed. However, I still love the hotel very much and would go back!

The hotel is very very very beautiful. With a nice swimming pool and a lot of sunbeds. Many beautiful gardens with seats for relax. The breakfast is really one of the best in Europe, many high quality and ‘power’ food, fruits even has cherries, peach, and passion fruit, yoghurts has greek yoghurt too, nuts include pecan, hazelnuts, white sesame…. Has almond or oat milk…. Pastry are ‘heated’, crispy and really tasty!!! …. Fresh Honey comb… and of course cheese, ham and, hot food… enjoyed the breakfast very much every day. The aperitif with tasty small bites at hotel bar and outdoor garden before dinner is a highlight too. And the hotel has partner for discount at a private beach opposite hotel…. If you want to go Puccini opera festival, this hotel is perfect too, reception helped book the opera coach to and fro, just euro 20, and the coach stop is just outside hotel!

A great location with lots to enjoy in the hotel. A huge pool and friendly pool bar area. A quiet and secluded garden. An excellent main bar area with lots of outdoor seating. And breakfast to take you up a swimwear size a day…

The hotel has an old world warmth and charm. The staff members are all attentive and helpful. The daily breakfast was something to look forward to and it is served in a beautiful dining room with attentive waiters. The daily cocktail hour with an array of finger food was also an unexpected treat. And the location is perfect with a park on one side and the beach on the other. I will be back again soon!

The pool area is large but dominated by families with small children, diving and jumping into the pool despite the signs saying not to. Difficult to swim properly and impossible to relax.

A great location, right on the beachfront. No cost upgrade to a double room. A real grand hotel in the classic style.

The AC in our room didn’t work, we beared through it until the last night when we realised it actually was broken and it was too late :(

Thé location was amazing, just right across from the beach and bus stop to pisa or other cities. The staff was exceptional - from lucca at breakfast to Paolo at the front desk, they were all incredible kind and accommodating. They really made the stay exceptional. This hotel is like walking back into time into an Italian land. It is wonderful! The pool and garden are lovely and breakfast was amazing.

We were unable to get a dinner reservation for the first five nights as the restaurant was fully booked. We managed to get a last minute booking on the last night.

The room was well appointed and had a great view. The aircon and fan meant the room was beautifully cool in very hot weather. The pool area was very well set out and maintained. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated and furnished.

This was our second visit to this hotel and we love it. The staff is so welcoming, gracious and accommodating; from the front desk to the bar pool staff. Great location too. We’ll visit again soon

We felt the hotel management did not really care about guests if they were not half board. We tried to book the restaurant 3 times but were told it was full. We felt everything was carefully counted to avoid too much waste. The restaurant staff were not very welcoming ,except the lady at the pool bar . We had stayed in this hotel 10 years before and noticed a chance in the atmosphere..no more live music and little consideration.

We loved the hotel design and location. It was very comfortable and clean. We used the swimming pool every day.

The only major gripe I have was that the scrambled eggs were often more like a yellow egg soup… I was actually repulsed by them! They were randomly good one day (3rd June) and then terrible again. I did try them but wow the texture was awful. Other than that the breakfast was the best I’ve seen at a hotel. No cots are provided so we had to bring our own little foldable one. Overall the property was in good condition but is showing some signs of wear. Some worn carpets, a bit of flaking paint from time to time, etc. Nothing major. The weirdest thing (and definitely not a dealbreaker) was the doors in our room. One door could lock from the inside but couldn’t even be closed from the other side. The bathroom door had a latch where a lock would go but no bolt to put in it, meaning you couldn’t lock it at all. The indoor bar furniture could do with an update, as could the elevators (they seemed very low quality compared to the rest of the hotel!) but again these are just tiny things. None of the above would stop us from visiting again! Overall we loved it!

We got upgraded to a partial ocean view, meaning the room was much bigger than the standard three-bed. As we were two adults, a kid, and a baby, this extra space was very welcome. the location was perfect for beach visits but we enjoyed spending our mornings near the pool, where there’s a pool bar with a limited but solid menu. The staff were very attentive and remembered my coffee order and what my toddler liked at breakfast, and the waitress at the pool bar (Serena) was always kind and my kid loved chatting to her! The room was very grand and you really felt relaxed upon waking. Views out onto the promenade were very pleasant and even in a storm it was nice to watch the rain from our window. The spa bath was a nice touch and the breakfast was amazing. I love bacon and it was consistently good! Pancakes and loads of fruit options were also delicious. The cleaning staff were also lovely. When our baby had a poo accident, the staff were very calming and helpful. There was no judgement or outward irritation, and instead they just helped me change what needed to be changed. Much appreciated in a stressful moment!
