To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaWe thought the staff were amazing, very friendly, very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The location was great, close to the Duomo, the Galleria, the Sforza Castle and the church Santa Maria delle Grazie where Da Vinci's Last Supper is located. The room was clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable.

We really appreciated the happy hour free cocktail and enjoyed this hotel immensely. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here whenever in Milan. Loved it all. Thank you!

New ZealandIt's a very old building and room had a bit of an odd smell but we go used to it. We had a window out to the street so was lovely to have natural light.
The staff were wonderful The room was spotlessly clean including the bathroom Delicious breakfast and best coffee! Nice bar and snacks and warm hospitality. We returned home in the evening, tired after our day walking or touring and often didn't have the energy to go out to find dinner. The staff always made us something, like a lovely toasted sandwich and a drink or a lovely coffee which was wonderful. Fabulous location.

The breakfast was good. We were leaving at 4 am in two days and the staff packed us a bag lunch. They also made a dinner reservation for us that was very good. Late afternoon. they offered a glass of Prosecco and a couple of sacks.
