We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe smaller town was nice but had fewer trains later in the evening. You can stay out in the evening as long as you are back in Lucca or have other transportation other than the train.
The property was close to the main center with restaurants. It was very easy to walk to the train each day.

The property was spacious, clean and very well equiped. The location was great being within the city walls but only a 12 minute walk to free parking just outside of the walls. Luigi, the host, was superb. He could not do enough for us and even gave us a lift to the car park at the end of our stay which was very kind. Lucca is a great place to visit, lots of history, shops and great places to eat.

United States of AmericaThe single beds are quite hard, that is the opinion of of my 30+ son. My husband and I found our bed comfortable, as my daughter in the single bed.
Luigi is a great host, not only did he meet us with the keys. He also took us to a place we could park our car without charge. The place was immaculate, he had a supplied wine, drinks, and coffee. Large and spacious. It also has washer for laundry. Location is great for all needs in Lucca and the grocery store is right there.

Power shower was wonderful! Host Luigi was lovely, explained everything, gave us a lift to station when arrived and left. We had a really enjoyable stay in Lucca.

A lift to the train station when we left too. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable with a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge! Highly recommend.

Great location, right in the middle of the walled town. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was also very nice. Living area had lots of seating so it would be good for a family. The host was helpful, responded to messages really quickly and sent us info about local things that were happening in the town
