United StatesWe asked for a smoke free room. The room smelled of heavy smoke.
Location was great. The parking lot was very small. We ended up parking a short distance away under a grocery store which worked out better for us. The hotel is a quick 15 minute walk to the lake with all the shops and cafes. The pool was very nice! The hotel had a variety of items for breakfast. Our entire family enjoyed our stay.

IrelandThe entire place is filthy. On arrival the hotel looks rundown. The are not enough car parking spots for everyone who stays. But it gets much worse when you walk down the corridors. The carpets are dirty and the walls are black and brown in every direction. Worse again when you get into your room, the plaster is falling off around the doors and all the sockets, part of our toilet was lying on the ground, there were black stains allover the walls and disgusting brown dripping stains next to the bed. The bed was 2 single mattresses on top of two more single mattresses and no base on the bed which had brown marks along it. There are no toiletries, no hair drier, the tiles in the bathroom were dirty, the shower head had some fungus growing in it, the thermostats in the showers didn't work and went from hot to cold constantly, the bed side lights are made from paper and are stained and dusty, the air conditioning worked however it only faced towards the head of the bed with no way to change it so if it was on you could only have it blowing in your face. It was also very weak. The reception area smelt of urine. The leather sofas were old and sticky. We approached the reception about the issue we had with how dirty the place was, she told us there was nothing she could do. We would have to pay for all 4 nights. We phoned booking.com about it and they told us they could send a cancellation request on our behalf. We did this and spoke to a different receptionist about the issue. She called the manager and they agreed to waive the cancellation fee and allowed us leave after 1 night. The images are completely misleading. They must be about 20 years old as the hotel is completely dilapidated since they were taken. The pool is about 3 foot deep in total. The only positive was breakfast, the staff were courteous and wore gloves when handling the food and there was a good selection.
The staff sorting us out with free cancellation.
