The breakfast was fairly good, but not great. The coffee wasn’t very good.

The place is exceptionnal, at 2 min of Piazza del Campo, with an astonishing view and a wonderful staff (cheers to Giorgio). Definitely recommend it.

Our room was extremely small with a minuscule bathroom. Only one chair was provided for a double room, the only table was a small shelf in a corner, not very useful. The shower recess in the very small bathroom had an ineffective shower curtain with the water covering the bathroom floor. We booked a classic double room with a city view, this was the only option when we booked. The photos on booking.com are not a true representation of the rooms.

Alma Domus is in an excellent location. Close to all the historical sites. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The outlook from our room was wonderful, a view of the city dominated by the Duomo. The bed was very comfortable.

Splendid position away from from noisy centre of the city, but still with relatively easy access on foot to the big attractions. It felt rather special to be so close to the home where St Catherine of Siena lived out her influential life.

I wasn’t given early check in despite the fact that the was ready. I understand that you can’t check in if the room is not ready but I think it’s mean to not allow check in when the room is ready.

The location is really good, right next to St Catarina basilica and with an amazing view of it. The rooms are very clean but the budget rooms are very basic. Really good breakfast included.

As we had an early coach to catch from outside the train station we asked could we have a packed breakfast as we’d paid for breakfast but the receptionist said that was not possible. Even though all the cold foods were laid out on the breakfast bar you couldn’t enter the dinner no area till 7am which we thought was a bit petty.

Location - once you find the place it’s in a good location but we found it hard to find, bus drivers from the main station were not helpful either.

The room was a bit compact and there was no kettle with tea coffee in the room but that was the only negative.

Great views of the duomo from the room, a few minutes walk from the 131R bus stop, a few mins walk from the elevator into town, great breakfast onsite and a few nice restaurants just around the corner.

The poorness of savory options in the breakfast

The location, the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the hotel is sth that makes the stay really worthy. The staff was very helpful with indicating some good trattorias in the city, which we of course visited and enjoyed.

There was some external noise late into the evening but it was a holiday weekend so maybe that had an effect with revellers staying out late and enjoying the moment.

The hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of the walled city, close to the Basilica Caterina di San Domenico, which is worth a visit. The hotel is reached via steps and transport cannot get next to the hotel as it is a pedestrian area; but it’s a short walk from the drop-off location. Our room on the 4th floor had a fantastic view over the city and the Duomo. The reception is on the 4th (top) floor; the breakfast room is one floor down. Breakfast was traditional continental fare with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size with a narrow balcony. Rooms on lower floors may not benefit from the view as the street outside is very narrow. We were looking out above the adjacent buildings hence, the view. All room facilities worked as one would expect.

A luggage rack in the room would be very helpful so I could open my suitcase. There was a group of 17-year-olds who made way too much noise very late at night. Of course, they are at fault for disrespecting the other guests. It was not the fault of Alma Domus

A cosy hotel organised in the former convent. It was clean and had all basic facilities. It has a great view of the panorama of Siena, and is well located: good access to the supermarket (5 min or so), a few minutes to the S10 bus connected with the train station, 7 min to the Via Tozzi station with buses to Florence, etc. There is no kettle in the room. There is a lift in the hotel but there are external stairs leading to the building. Helpful staff. Old-fashioned shower.
