Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The host was very kind and flexible. He provided us with all the information we needed. We could leave our luggage for safekeeping. The bed/mattress was very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets/pillows to sleep on.

IrelandI can't say I didn't liked it but I would improve few things. First of all put up information the sign with the name of the property it's hard to find the building without name on it. Secondly it would be nice to put some rugs or mats on the floor beside the bed. Thirdly more variety for breakfast like fresh fruit/veg some ham, cheese etc to be able to prepare at least some sandwiches also kitchen equipment please consider buying kettle, new sandwich maker and toaster.
Great location close to the train station. Walking distance to Coloseum. Staff very nice, kind and helpful. Open access to the kitchen where you can prepare your own food. Breakfast included.

Australiathe elevator is a bit of a relic but it works. You have to make sure you close all the doors otherwise you stop it working for the next group after you.
The room had lovely decoration touches and the bed was comfy. The location was fantastic … close to Termini station, great mercator in the station with 20+ artisan food stalls, close to buses, easy access to metro including travellators from near mercator to the metro. The kitchen was clean and well maintained by our host. Our host Lalith was very helpful and polite. Value for money is great. Would definitely go back again

United KingdomThe bathroom was somewhat small compared to the room as it was rather narrow, however it did the job and was fine.
My mother and I stayed for two nights whilst we explored Rome. The check-in process was brilliant, my mum was greeted and given a thorough tour of the facilities and room. The room was huge with a double bed and single bed and plenty of space around the both. The option of a continental breakfast when you wanted was fab for us as it allowed flexibility around a jam packed schedule - the espresso machine was an appreciated luxury. The room was clean. The location was great, half and hour walk from most sights (except Vatican City which was about an hour). Would definitely recommend and will visit again if we come to Rome in the future.

Very good self-service breakfast. Location close to Termini train station. Very good location for traveling around the city and outside the city. The street is quiet and peaceful despite the proximity to the railway station. Lots of different bars and restaurants nearby.

United KingdomThe facilities are very basic. Old building with a tiny, old lift. Breakfast is self service and it’s only pre-packed toasted bread, some cheese slices, cereal and yogurt. Air-con is €5 per day (we didn’t avail it anyway).
Location is 2 minutes walk to Roma Termini- very accessible to all transportation systems. Unlimited coffee though, which was very good! Otherwise, location is perfect & comfy bed

United States of AmericaThe elevator of the building was very old school (functional though) and when we first arrived felt that the area was a bit awkward (population-wise). The latter though felt much better the rest of the times we hanged around there so many it's not too bad.
The room was very clean and the location was excellent (next to central train station and walking distance from many sightseeings). The owner was also nice to allow us to leave our suitcases at the property (for free) for few hours after we checked out so that was helpful too. They were also flexible with breakfast time (although we decided to not eat there as we wanted to try local food).

BrazilCan't really complain since I weigh 100kg, but the shower box is smallish. The room was on the fourth floor and there was an amazingly small elevator -- large enough for me and my suitcase, nothing else. It was sort of a fun adventure even! Please don't take this as a criticism, but know beforehand to avoid surprises.
Excellent location -- right on the side of the Rome Termini train station, Metro Station, and some good, inexpensive restaurants. Mercato Centrale was basically across the street. It was a great base for our metro and train rides around Rome. One of the staff visited the apartment every day to resupply the refrigerator with juice, yogurt, toast, etc. and clean the rooms.

CanadaThe only way to know that you have to pay for the AC which the description says is “included in the room” is by scrolling alllllll the way to the bottom of the hotel amenities where they put in that it is extra charge. The AC is mentioned 3 times in the ad but they only mention once that you have to pay and it is all the way at the end. This detail should be more clear because if I knew I had to pay extra for AC I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel. It was either pay 5 euro per day for AC or die of heat (it was over 30 degrees our entire time in Rome)….
It was a good location with a decent room and private bathroom. Room was very clean and tidied up every day.

IrelandIf we want to use the air conditioning and wi-FI, que need to pay separately. It’s means: We paid for the rent of room and need to pay more for these items. The normally rooms rent air conditioning and Wi-Fi is already included on the payment.
