Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germany- The front door lock is damaged, making it difficult to open. - The aircon unit was not functioning properly. - No access to the kitchen. - The facilities & room layout could be improved.
- The person who welcomed us was nice & friendly. - The Apartment is conveniently located near the tram stop. - Near to the main train station (Termini) - Adjacent to various amenities such as shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. - We appreciated the option to store our bags beyond the checkout time.

United KingdomWindows have no blinds and curtains aren’t very thick, our room had a giant street light outside of one window so if you need pitch black to sleep, you may need to pack a sleep mask. Sofa bed was also fine for a night but after that it gets uncomfy.
Very spacious room, Colosseum is walking distance but also right outside a metro station and close to several bus stops too. Staff were super friendly and helpful!

BulgariaThe only downside was that the walls were pretty thin and you could hear some noises when people walked around, but during our stay there weren’t any loud guests.
The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed every other day, which was really nice. The staff was very friendly. The location was very nice because of the proximity to termini station and metro stop. It’s also not that far away from the Colosseum and the city centre.

RomaniaThe price was pretty steep (almost 900€ for 5 nights for 3 people) considering the surroundings of the building and the modest furniture and finishes and compared to similar or better accommodations in Paris, Milan or Barcelona, but I guess the willing-to-pay-the-price clients make the market!
The place is very well located, 1 minute walk from a metro station (line A) and 10-15 minutes walk from the Colloseum, even though the neighbourhood is pretty uneasy due to the many migrants and homeless people around there. The place was very clean when we got there and it was kept clean by everyday maintenance. Towels, shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, biscuits, jam, instant coffee and sugar were included in the price. Airconditioning and WiFi, as well as a fridge were also available in the room.

United KingdomThe area itself feels a little scary if honest. People asleep in our door way or right next to door every evening.
Staff were great. Let us check in early with a baby. Clean & well presented. It seems expensive but for Rome it is cheap. Metro links are great!

BelgiumThe area is not the best. If you are not confident and used to walk in dingy streets (the area becomes slightly dingy at night), maybe you should avoid it. The room is offered as a quadruple. Indeed there is space for 4 people to sleep (2 on the bed + 2 on a convertible couch) but not sure they would be comfortable in such a room, as it is not that big. However it is a really good size for 2 people. Toilet paper is not of good quality. The room is noisy as it's next to a rather busy street, use of earplugs is advised to have a good sleep.
The room is at a relatively ok location, very close to a metro station and close to Termini train station. The manager is responsive and they can keep the luggage in the apartment after one checks out which is very convenient. The room is relatively modern and felt clean, especially the bathroom. There is a medium size fridge that works very well, this is a huge plus, especially for summer. Biscuits and some instant coffee are provided but this is more of a nice hospitality gesture rather than a reason to choose the room. They clean (or maybe tidy up) the room daily.
