Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis hotel should have air conditioning. It's very hot in the rooms. The staff at dinner was great; however, the check in process was poor quality. The attendant made no eye contact and did nothing to help the process along. It was like this person was having a bad day. This person was aloof and could care less if we were attended to or not.
Really top end beds. The room was clean and very quiet. The food--dinner and breakfast--was great, albeit pretty expensive. The atmosphere was energetic. We loved the whole airport bus experience.

United StatesMattresses were hard. Pillows caused neck pain. Would have been helpful to have a choice of less dense pillows on each of the beds. Room size is small, making it awkward to maneuver around luggage for two adults in a room with one king-size bed and one full bed. Each of the dressing gowns in the suite had sticky black goo on them, making the gowns unusable. The suite included lotion. The executive room did not.
On-site Italian restaurant was very good. Perfect for dinner after a long day traveling, with an early flight the next morning. Breakfast was easy, fulfilling and quick at the counter in the lobby. During a previous stay on June 7, my friends and I enjoyed the Playwright bar and the afternoon food offerings. We also appreciated the grab-and-go breakfast before hopping on the hotel's airport shuttle our early flight.

United StatesStaff was nice but I had to approach them first before being asked how I could be assisted. The bottom of the bath liner appeared dirty.
The free shuttle to the airport was very convenient. The room was well stocked and the locations of the coffee, hairdryer, and safe were noted.

CanadaThe elevators were quite problematic as they weren’t stopping at the required floor. Yes, I was using the access card.
Everything was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant.

IrelandBar service was a bit slow for clientele (competing with waiter staff) at counter. As a Guinness drinker, it's alway frustrating that hotel quality just doesn't match high street pubs, and the pint is usually finished a bit too hurriedly, which the client accepts to offset the tardiness of service. Bar staff should be encouraged to make eye contact with the thirsty customer, even when under pressure, just to acknowledege : " I know you're there, and I'll get to you asap" But that said, the bar personnel were just fine. There's certainly a strong argument for providing porter staff to assist guests with luggage conveyance to/from bedrooms. Spend 20 minutes observing the security doors giving access to the rooms to see why (moderate mayhem). Also, hotel gratuity policy should be more apparent for guests. My sister in law from California was a tad discombobulated, wondering if, how much, and where she should leave any tip.
The staff were very courteous, which is essential given that many guests will have endured the stress that air travel brings. The hotel should be an oasis before/after the bedlam of the airport. Clayton Dublin Aiport pretty much succeeds in this regard. The courtesy coach service to and from the airport is top class.

United StatesI wish we could have opened open more window in our family room.
I liked how quick the shuttle showed up to take us to hotel. And we were able to immediately get on one to go the airport the next day. I enjoyed having a good meal on site. And I was able to walk across to Circle K for snacks.

United StatesNo air conditioning. Staff at restaurant (except bartender) was less than friendly. Host was dismissive and server never brought our check. But bartender took care of us on way out. Food was okay for hotel food. Prix fixe menu is misleading. It was more expensive than purchasing two items separately.
Clean room, easy check in and out. Fast response to,request for extra bedding.

IrelandI think guests need more than one pillow each, you can request more at reception but I only noticed it going to bed and didn't want to wait up for one to be sent up, also breakfast sausages weren't great, breakfast is expensive in all hotels so I expect good quality products, but overall very pleased with stay
Overall very happy with stay only two small points for improvement
