Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaThe only power point is on the wall opposite the foot of the bed. Fortunately I brought a power board with a long cord, otherwise I could not have used my cpap machine. Apparently reception has a few extension cords guests can borrow. There was no lift access to my room. I had to go up and down 3-4 flights of stairs each time I left the room. The plug in the sink got stuck and I could not get it out. There is a space for a fridge but it is empty. A fridge to store drinks and medications if necessary would be very welcome.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Parking at minimal cost. Bed very comfortable. Food very good. Enjoyed the pool. Air conditioning worked well.

CanadaOur room was very small, the bathroom was very small, the shower was very small. We could hear the people next door talking and even snoring. It would have been nice if they had included in their building design an elevator to go from the lobby to the rooms. Currently, you must carry your luggage up 1 floor by stairs in order to find the elevator. That's nothing the current managers can do about that.
The food was amazing. The staff was very kind and tried their best to keep everything in order. The pool was convenient, clean. The hotel is located quite away from the centre of Porec and there are no regular buses or public transportation. Walking slowly takes you 1 hour to reach Porec through beaches and forests, it's a nice walk. There is a touristic train, quite expensive for what it is, to take you back and forth if you don't want to walk. In the hotel area there is a small supermarket and some food and clothes boothes. All in all we hade a great time. Great place for families. Carry your own towels if you plan on going to the beach or the pool.

Perfect breakfast and dinners, better than rooms which are small but enough for 'beach stay'.

PolandThe rooms are quite smaller than expected. The shower is also too small. My stay would have been more comfortable if the rooms were a bit more spacious.
The hotel is in a great location along the beach. It is easily accessible from Porec bus station, either by taxi or the tourist train. The staff is friendly, and the hotel offers a great breakfast and lunch buffet with drinks.

AustriaI know it is probably a difficult problem but maybe there is a way to fix the sewerage system so it doesnt smells when rains. And pls pls remove the lower blue sticker color on the window to the sea. would be so great if is it entirely transparent crystal clear window.. what a great view it will be ^^
the location is awesome, right next to beach, water is super clean, and there is a ferry to go to porec for 8 euros return trip. I read reviews before that the sewer smells bad, which is true, but this somehow only happens when its raining... we stayed 3 days, on arrival it was raining heavily and the basin was closed, but when I opened it the strong sewer smell immediately came out, had to quickly close it again. The next day however, after the room was made the smell is gone, and could also be it was a sunny day.. then third day it was raining a bit again and smell is back when the basin is left open.. So we are assuming it's the sewerage system has some problem there when it rains. But the room is nice, the food is nice, the front desk and staff at the restaurant are all very friendly. It's really great value for the money. If they can make the balcony bigger by removing the giant sofa and remove the blue sticker on the window makes it a clear panorama view to the sea I don't see why this hotel cannot be rated as 4 stars. Great upgrading potential ^^

SloveniaRooms need some renovation. The bathroom is very small.
The food was excellent. The staff was nice. But at the time of my arrival, there was one man working on the parking lot, who was rude. He was not telling me, where I can park, because all the parking spaces in front of the hotel were taken. He said something like “if there is no parking space it is your problem, I won’t move my car for you to park”…

HungaryThe bathroom is small, built to a different era's standard, this has to be acknowledged, but it is serviceable, however some elements are a little outdated. Parking lot is a bit limited, but always managed in the end. Not a negative of the hotel, but the Wibit water park in front the beach unfortunately really spoils the view of the open sea.
Last year I stayed here in Porec in a neighbouring hotel, and this year I came back because the surroundings are wonderful. Plavi Plava was the perfect choice for me. It is closest to the beach, which is very beautiful. The half board is perfect, good quality, varied, tasty food. The rooms are also adequate, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, suitable for relaxing. The TV also has channels from many countries. The staff is also friendly and nice everywhere.

HungaryAnimator programs for the kids were not well organized. E.g. paper said mini disco will be at 8 at Hotel Zorna, but turned out it was at 8:30 at the sandy beach. Aqua Gym supposed to be, but there was not.
The location, the sea was beautiful. Half board service in the hotel's restaurant was perfect.
