Because it was so hot, the 'plunge' pool was the temperature of a warm bath - but the jacuzzi feature worked and it was soothing for tired legs.

These 'suites' are all over Santorini. Sun Angelos is a collection of 6 of them owned and run by a family: basic kitchen (hob, fridge, sink, crockery, glasses), beautiful bathroom, living area and lovely double bedroom with King size bed. It's essentially a converted cave - and the bedroom is at the back so is remarkably cool. (It was VERY hot when we were there) And there is AirCon as well. Outside there is a table and chairs, sunbeds and a plunge pool. All freshly painted. And the view is of the BACK of the island, not the Caldera (which is stunning) but has the advantage of the sunsets - which are famous. Sun Angelos is 10 minutes' walk from a small supermarket (so we could make our own breakfast) and 5 minutes' walk from a lovely restaurant - Finnikia, which is also a hotel with its own 'suites'. Service at both Sun Angelos and Finnikia was EXCELLENT - Greek hospitality is friendly, thoughtful and helpful.

Nothing, everything was perfect 🥰

We recently stayed at this incredible hotel for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and charm of this place. Our suite was nothing short of spectacular. The bedroom was perfect, offering an intimate and luxurious atmosphere that set the tone for our romantic getaway. The view from our veranda was breathtaking, and watching the sunset from the outdoor hot tub was a magical experience we'll never forget. The staff truly made our stay exceptional. Two young gentlemen, in particular, went above and beyond by carrying our luggage up and down the stairs during check-in and check-out. They were incredibly kind and always available via WhatsApp for any request we had. Their dedication to making our stay perfect was evident in every interaction. Despite arriving early in Santorini, the hotel had our room ready by 9 AM, allowing us to relax and refresh before exploring the island. This thoughtful gesture made a significant difference in our stay. One evening, we enjoyed a delicious gyros kebab platter for two from a fantastic local restaurant. It was delivered to us quickly as we lounged in the hot tub, watching the stunning sunset. The combination of the exquisite food and the picturesque setting made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. This was, without a doubt, the best vacation we've ever had and the most beautiful hotel we've ever stayed in. Everything from A to Z was perfect, and we can't recommend this place highly enough. It was an absolute dream come true, and we can't wait to return. Thank you!

Well, the only thing I might would have changed is the stairs, but honestly, they were manageable but a lot of them. :-) Otherwise, I would not have changed a thing.

I traveled with my adult daughter to Santorini. This facility was wonderful, it was clean and spacious but most importantly the staff was exceptional! Olsi, his family and staff were all so accommodating. We were met by Olsi and staff to carry our luggage and get us settled in. Once there Olsi checked on us daily to make sure everything was ok and see how he could help. Had an issue with coffee machine but Olsi sent his father right away to help us out. Of course, the issue was operator error. :-) Olsi recommended a great restaurant (Finikia) for our Mother's Day dinner (American Holiday Celebration) which was walking distance from the hotel with a roof top to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Once at the restaurant the staff there was equally nice and accommodating, especially our waiter Christopher. :-) The suites were located about a 20–25-minute walk to downtown Oia where you can shop, eat and catch buses, taxis etc. to other parts of the island. However, we did have a bus stop across from the suites. We took the bus for only a couple of Euro to a quaint little town called Emporeio then walked from there for about 20 minutes or so to Perivolos Beach (Black sand beach) where everyone was super nice and there were free beach chairs and offered food and drinks for purchased it was really quite nice there. I think this location and suites are a great place, it has the plunge pool, great view of the city and the hospitality is outstanding! When it was time to leave Olsi arranged for a ride to the ferry, stored our luggage while we explored one last time before leaving Santorini and carried our luggage to the meeting spot when it was time to go. Olsi was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We were given everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Right down a bottle of wine upon arrival, robes and bath slippers to use during our stay. It was 5-star treatment! Thank you Olsi for making me and my daughter's trip a memorable one!

Bus is only one side, so bit uneasy to commute. Nearest restaurant Finikia is very very costly.

Charming staff and owner with well managed property. If you taking bus from Fira. Always say for bus stand AGNADI VILLA. Otherwise driver will not stop it.

My suggestion for the management is to ask guests upon check-in when they would like housekeeping to come to avoid being disturbed, as there is no ‘do not disturb’ sign for the door. When I came back from my walk in the afternoon I had to wait while the cleaning was happening. I did not have wifi while off the property so there was no way for the manager to reach me to ask about housekeeping, so that should have been asked at check-in. Frankly since I was only staying two nights, I didn’t need any housekeeping. I went into Oia my last evening to see the town lit up at night and take photos. Then walked back to the property. By this time it was nightfall. There was a man acting strangely ahead of me. The road is very dark at night. He looked back at me and walked ahead then slowed to a stop and went to the side in the pitch darkness by some cars, as if he was waiting. That put me on alert so I walked in the middle of the road and sped up once I passed him, while looking back frequently to make sure he didn’t follow. He did for a bit then fell back. I’m a tall large woman so that affords me some consideration with predators in that they may hesitate to take me on, but it was still a bit scary. Other than that moment, Santorini felt very safe, and when I was back in my room I felt secure. There is staff nearby on the property so you’re not alone.

Went as a solo female traveller. Felt very safe. The property is gorgeous and immaculate. The hot tub was wonderful. I appreciated the complimentary bottle of white wine and fruits. The host Olsi was very welcoming and accessible over WhatsApp where he responded promptly to questions. He also arranged an airport transfer on my behalf. The lodging is about a 20 minute stroll to the town centre. There is minimal sidewalk so you have to be careful and mind passing vehicles, but it’s not particularly hazardous. Just have your wits about you. It’s good to not be in the town centre as it’s crowded and noisy. You really feel like you’re on a getaway. It was perfect for my birthday trip as a rest stop before heading back to the busyness of Athens. Towels, robes and slippers were provided in the room. And there was a nice kitchen area with a kettle, pots, pans, dishes, cups, cutlery etc. The view was beautiful and I could see the sunset. For others who stated they didn’t see the sunset in their review, I suspect it had to do with the time of year they were there, the sun doesn’t stay in one spot. I was there May 14-16. As others have mentioned, there is noise from overhead traffic but it sounds like rain or waves. It’s not jarring and it’s very intermittent. At least for the time I was there. I had no trouble sleeping. The bed is large and very comfortable. I rate this property and host 10/10 and would definitely return.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. Friendly staff and excellent facilities. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and fruits. The jacuzzi was amazing with a great sunset view. The location was also perfect as it was away the noise of Oia but still about only 15 mins walk. There is also a bus stop just next to the hotel. But keep in mind that the route is only one way for buses. So only the buses from Fira to Oia stops here. If you want to come back from Oia, you have to walk or take taxi.

Everything about this property was amazing and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautiful, functional and fully equipped with lots of outlets, kitchen utilities, lots of seating areas indoors and outdoor, and even beautiful decor. We loved the private hot tub and the whole private patio to our room. Everything was kept clean and freshly painted and it truly felt like a luxury experience. The views were gorgeous and we would have had a great sunset view away from the crowds of oia if we lucked out with better weather. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always available for assistance. They surprised us with some freshly cut up fruit, honey and juice brought to our room. The location was very good too, not right inside oia so it was very quiet, peaceful and private, but still a very easy and pretty quick walk straight down the road. There were also supermarkets a short walk away towards Oia and multiple restaurants next to us. We loved this property and our experience there and can’t wait to come back some day.

It’s not in central Oia so you still have to walk around 20 minutes before you get to the main square with restaurants and viewpoints however it isn’t as expensive as those cave hotels so it was worth it to pay a bit less but still get the awesome room with a view

We loved our stay! We particularly loved: - The staff! So helpful and friendly all the time. Olsi even made it so special for my husband’s 40th, with balloons and candles everywhere when we checked in - The room and living area was very spacious and comfortable. The outside area is a dream, just like the photos! - Sitting outside in the Hot tub watching the sunset was a magical experience (we stayed in room 1 and the view was perfect) - it was sooo peaceful (I saw a previous review stating you can hear the cars but it’s not really an issue at all) - the location is around 15 minute walk from main center or town which for us was perfect (we burned some of the calories we ate!!)

Great location, just 15 minutes walk from the centre of Oia. Super market is like 7 mins walk so is the restaurants. Place is very clean and tidy. Staff is so helpful. I’m so glad we booked Sun Angelos rather than a place in the centre. It is not overlooking and not crowded. Sunset from the hot tub is just breathtaking.

Beautiful, quiet & secluded. Really friendly welcome from Olsi. All staff very friendly. Arranged a transfer to the airport and helped with our bags etc. The hot tub was big and very clean. Stayed in the honeymoon cave suite. The outdoor furniture was immaculate with beautiful grounds and rose bushes everywhere. it looks like a huge investment was put into this property. All decor inside and out was to a high standard and had a luxury feel. Very very clean inside and out.

Amazing stay. Beautiful location, perfectly set near Finikia. A quaint village away from the tourists of Oia - but still within great walking distance to experience the beauty of Oia. Accommodation was flawless, exactly as pictured and even more stunning in person. Hoss met us with keys. Kept our luggage for the last day before our flight and were always around for anything. Hugely recommend!

We had 5 wonderful days at Sun Angelos Oia. The ocean view cave villa was fantastic and provided you with all the privacy that you could ever want. And the outdoor Jetted Tub was lovely and I enjoyed it very much. The hosts deserve special mention. They are more than fantastic, always helpful and very friendly. Special thanks Olsi for looking after us and making this our home from home. They are extremely professional and genuine. Olsi always there when you need him and very quick to help accommodate you. Once again, many, many thanks to Sun Angelos Oia team for the wonderful and memorable vacation and I must be returned and stayed here again!
