Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI think the cost was a little on the higher side but that could be because of the Easter when we visited. But the value is worth it.
Fantastic location, super friendly staff. The host Dimitra was very helpful and very responsive to any and every query/request I had. Ok now we stayed at the Aqua room which is supposed to have two hot tubs but it actually has one, the one at the terrace. The other one outside the balcony is shut now but that's ok because it lacked privacy. The room itself is small. More like a studio but the view from the balcony and especially the terrace makes up for that.the hot tubs for both the rooms aqua and aurora are on the terrace with little separations between themselves. So if you have both the rooms occupied then you might be hearing your neighbour in the hot tub but won't be able to see them cause there is fair bit of distance between the two. The hot tub allotted to us had the sunset view. Very clear sunset but the other hot tub will not have the sunset view or atleast not a clear one. The small kitchen space had some utensils which is helpful for preparing small meals. Bathroom size is okay and very clean. The hot tub temperature cannot be adjusted by the guests so ours needed to up by two degrees or so which was promptly done through a request to the host.also the light inside the hot tub wasn't working so the host kindly offered us to use the other hot tub on the first night, which was working fine. The other room did not have any occupant during our stay so that helped her to offer it to us. The light was fixed promptly on the second day. There was a guy who helped us with our luggage from the cab to the house as it is a fair bit uphill and can be challenging if you have heavy and many luggages. That was super helpful. Airport transfers were arranged for us by the host at 55 euros per trip. Rooms were cleaned with fresh towels everyday morning. You walk out on to the main thoroughfare of Oia and that is a huge advantage of this house. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended..

United KingdomWe had two jacuzzi hot tubs but only the roof one worked, that's the best one to be honest but the roof is shared with the other Aqua suite and there jacuzzi so not completely private, the only complaint I could really make.
Excellent location right in the middle of the high street with private parking for the suite. The views on the roof are unbelievable and you can see the whole caldera as well as both sides of Oia and both sides of the ocean and the sunset views are spectacular. Restaurants on your door step and all the famous photography landmarks, one is literally outside the front door. The bed is super comfy and the interior is modern and there's a lovely pebble dashed shower. Staff were helpful and punctual to provide the keys as its not a hotel but Suites so no receptionist, all done on watts app which was simple.

AustraliaIt’s hard to think of anything. Everything was great.
Rooftop spa was incredible, views are just amazing, there is a bar in front of the hotel however we felt it added to the atmosphere when enjoying the sunset. The location is ideal, short walk to great restaurants. Go to Skiza for breakfast, it won’t disappoint. The staff were great, communication was excellent. For check-out, our luggage was carried to the taxi pick up point, amazing service.

New ZealandThe jacuzzi was hot during the day, which seemed odd, but once the sun goes down it is perfect. It’s a little hard to find, but the staff are super helpful.
This property exceeded our expectations - sitting on one of the highest points in Oia, the hotel is boutique, the staff brilliant, room is clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace is incredible. A private jacuzzi, sun loungers and dinner table, we avoided the crowds, got great Greek take out and a bottle of wine and enjoyed the sunset from the private terrace. It was incredible.

IrelandEverything was perfect!
We had two private hot tubs, one on our terrace directly outside our room (very visible from the restaurant next door, but nothing crazy) and one on the rooftop. There are only two apartments in the place, so there was only one other couple there. The view from the top is beautiful and perfect for watching the sunset without being in the crowds. It's one of the highest points in Oia, so slightly windy at times, but the breeze is welcome when you are sunbathing. We loved the rooftop hot tub for hanging out and people watching, having a chilled out breakfast and watching the boats come in.

Best stay you can get. It is on principal street of Oia so you will have amazing access to everything you need. On the roof they have a jacuzzi with a 360 degree view. You will get the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets in the world without having to fight with crowds of people. People there are very nice, and they helped with transport from the ferry and airports. They even had someone help carry our luggage from the taxi drop off area to the hotel. The suite had everything you need, good quality toiletries, and a balcony with amazing views right off the room. The price for what you get is amazing. If we return to Santorini we would totally book the same stay.

South AfricaThe upstairs terrace is a lot smaller than expected, but the little pool is still an absolute win.
The location is excellent, in Oia but just where the walkway gets wide and it's easy to get to the car/parking area. We had a car, so the free parking was the bonus of it all!

United Statesit is quite a hike to get to/from different places due to the stairs, hills, and dirt roads nearby. there also wasn’t a full time concierge, and you need to be extremely diligent in telling the staff when you need to arrange taxis otherwise it is almost impossible to get around the island.
great location right in the middle of the city center. hot tubs and views of the caldera were beautiful from both the apartment and the rooftop. room was very clean and we received fresh towels/trash changes every day. staff responded quickly to whatsapp messages and were very accommodating. the free bottle of wine was also a nice touch

AustraliaThe outside balcony does look into the neighbouring bar, so close you would be able to tough staff at the bar. However this is mitigated by rooftop access which overlooks the bar and has a hot tub.

NorwayIn this part I am going to talk about some limitations about this hotel, not severe, but I do think future guests have the right to know. The major downside is the lack of privacy, balcony of both rooms is directly facing a restaurant, all the diners can easily see your every move when you are on the balcony, which may be a bit awkward, anyway, I didn’t use the balcony during my entire stay, and I suggest you pull the curtain when you are in your room. Since the hot tubs for each room are both placed on the public terrace, you may run into other guests when enjoying the terrace view or hot tub. Also, the pedestrians on the street can see you when you are close to the ledge of terrace. The height of king size bed may be risky, it is approximately 1.5 m tall, if you turn over during sleeping, you may have a risk of falling, my suggestion is to sleep close to the wall side. Moreover, it is a pity that the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast given the price for the room, although they will give you some dry bread and jams as snacks. In summary, this hotel has good value for money, I would not hesitate to recommend it to you although it has some minor flaws.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, and overall I would like to describe it as an excellent experience. Technically speaking, this is not like a hotel but an Airbnb-style guest house. The check in process is not done in the property but a nearby restaurant, but I am ok with it. After checking in you will have a bottle of red wine as a gift in your room. The staff, Vasiliki, is very attentive, responsible and ready to help. She contacted me a few days ahead of my check-in and constantly asked me if I needed help with anything before and during my stay, she did her best to make my stay in Oía comfortable and memorable. After my check out she also helped me arrange a transportation to airport. I would like to thank her for her wonderful work! Firstly let’s talk a bout the location. The property is perfectly located beside the Main Street on the central cliff side of Oía, meaning you can easily access the bus station, all major attractions including Oía castle, wind mills and many more within walking distance (10-15 min depending on how fast you can walk). The whole building only has two rooms, namely Aurora and Aqua, my room is Aurora, which is very spacious, clean and tidy, suitable for two people, it comes with a huge balcony, fridge and a king size bed. You basically have everything you need in the room, towels, shampoo, coffee, fresh water, utensils, TV etc. The highlight about this hotel must be the terrace, it offers you the 360º panoramic view of the caldera and part view of the Oía town on the left and right side from the terrace, also, if you don’t want to go all the way to Oía castle to scramble for a spot with other tourists to watch the sunset, you may enjoy the sunset on the terrace. Another winner is the hot tub, each room has its own private hot tub, which is also set on the terrace, FYI, Aqua room has bigger hot tub. It is always very cozy and comfortable to dip into the hot tub, enjoying the beautiful views after a whole day’s tour.
