Our room & bathroom were enormous. Felt very spoiled to have such a lovely room with a fabulous view. It was very quiet too. The staff were very friendly & efficient. The food at the restaurant was delicious & the view from there is stunning.

Trudging up 50 stairs carrying heavy suitcases to get to our room. Just a one off, but a shame you don't have a lift. Evening meals I thought a bit pricey but given that the restaurant seems to be always full maybe I'm in a minority with this comment. Most times we were able to park in the hotel parking area but space is limited and then it's pot luck on finding a parking space on the main street (100 steps back up to the hotel).

Good size room with wardrobe and chest of drawers, so space to put away/hang clothes. Nice sized bathroom with bath tub (I like a soak). Excellent selection of foods at breakfast. Lovely location looking out over the harbour.

Bit difficult to get to in the car.

We Had an extremely grand room (tobermoray) with an amazing bay window overlooking the harbour. Liked the beautiful drawing room.on the main floor.

There were no taxis available when I arrived by bus. As a result I had to pull two suitcases through town and up a steep hill to the hotel. Perhaps as a suggestion the hotel could offer a shuttle from the bus area to the hotel for those not arriving with a car.

A la carte menu in the evening not to my taste, and a touch on the expensive side. Nothing wrong with it, just my preferences.

Tired decor in room, It's an old building so I understand that some things would be dated, creeky, but a masserator for a toilet that continually makes noise throughout the night was a bit much.

Location was excellent. 90% of staff were too, but clearly some weren't customer focused and didn't want to be there.

Shower very poor, massive temperature fluctuations, scalded myself and cut my elbow. Dogs allowed in the restaurant and around the breakfast buffet is OK if they don’t smell strongly which some did.

Tired decor in places. Weakest aspect was the en-suite which functioned well but needs replacing.

We were lucky with the parking space outside the hotel. This could have been challenging otherwise, but I can’t see how the hotel can make improvements regarding this.

Welcoming and kind staff. Public rooms very welcoming and attractively decorated. Excellent bedroom with outside sitting area and wonderful view. Genuinely dog friendly. Turning up very wet and muddy (the humans worse than the dog!) really didn’t feel a problem. Great restaurant.

Bed was very squeeky - not great for a poor sleeper like myself.

We were given an upgrade which meant that the view was better than expected (Harbour rather than Courtyard).
