Unfortunately, it was the room that disappointed me because we had no neck curtain out the window and that was only our room because when you looked from the building outside every other room. there were holes in the carpet, there was dust on top of the headboard. The shower was cold and we were unable to get the temperature.

It was in a great setting.

Would be great to have separate shampoo, body wash and conditioner in bathroom and pool showers

All the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We enjoyed a relaxed and tasty buffet breakfast out on the patio in the sunshine, looking over the lovely lawn! Followed by a chilled pool, steam and sauna.

The hotel could do with some TLC - a lick of paint in the room and on the outside. It is an old building and the floorboards in the hallway were very creaky and noisy - not sure what they can do about that - maybe more soundproofed room doors. The management clearly did not plan the restaurant capacity well on our last night. The restaurant was full with not enough staff or chefs. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food (9 p.m.) which became stressful especially as we had children in our party. It was a shame because service on the first two nights was great. If they had warned us we would have gone elsewhere or would have been happy to arrive to eat earlier to avoid the rush.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty for everyone to do - golf, tennis, swimming, cricket on the lawns, table tennis. The hotel was close to Arundel and its lovely castle and a short drive from the seaside.

Was with a baby, although indicated, was assigned a room that was very far away. Very inconvenient with a small child having to walk to reception up and down each time or have to take a car! Was told the hotel was full and couldn’t assign another room, but right before us and 10 minutes after couples were checked in to rooms in the main building! That was very very disappointing! If you need a fridge, request one! Although the room has a fridge compartment, it is empty and not all rooms have a fridge. Again, being full had to keep the baby milk and food in the main kitchen fridge, which, obviously was very far from our room!

    Nice grounds, good parking

Small issue was not being told where anything was when booking in. Nothing about how to book for dinner, where the bar was or restaurant -nothing about breakfast or a cursory mention of where anything is. Nothing in the room either. On check out, nothing about did you enjoy your stay. Only a small thing but the receptionist is often the first and last people you speak to when staying at a hotel and so can make all the difference.

Great location and really friendly and helpful staff especially in the bar and restaurant. Room had everything I needed. The food was excellent. Well presented and lots of choice.

Its set in quite an old building, so rooms are packed together, decor could be better. The bathroom could have done with an update. Unfortunately, all the plug sockets were the furthest they could be from being useful

Avis Park had ample parking and set in a lovely scenic part of the country. Room was large enough to cater for me and had amenities that I needed such as small fridge, ironing board and typical amenities.

The bed was very hard initially, and through no fault of the hotel the weather twinned with a very top floor room made for a boiling room, the fan helped but it was a very uncomfortable sleep. The floors all on the top floor were very creaky as well
