Ordered breakfast, incorrect breakfast given, waitress took order and repeated it correctly. The fault seems to have been with the kitchen, apart from the eggs the rest of the breakfast had been sat for a while. A replacement breakfast which was about right came but cold Surprising as previous breakfasts have always been good.

    Everything but the breakfast

I have no complaints about this hotel i will continue to stay there.

We travel often to Newcastle 2 - 3 times a year and always stay at this hotel, the location is good for walking into the city and accessing the buses, trains and Metro. The quayside is just at the bottom of the stairs so easy access to bars and restaurants although the Hotel has a great bar area and restaurant. We visit family and they are able to meet us in the hotels bar.

Rip on sofa, broken door handle. Took photos and was back at reception to tell them about it, as I wasn't about to pay for it. Also, Booking.com said it was £50 prepay on card for incidentals. It was actually £200.

Nice friendly (front desk, night porter, cleaner) staff. Great location. Great blackout curtains. Lots of room with two bath and two bed. Dishwasher too 😊

Unfortunately our room door lock had stopped work so we had to move rooms. Shame this was to another room of the same size. No one helped me moved anything across & had to do 4 runs. Some of the decor was dated, lots of scuffs, old paint, wear, and needs loving.

Great rooms, clean, friendly staff, and had parking. Also could pre-buy breakfast for £10 which was well priced.

    Nothing, everything was as expected.

Been here before and perfect location for the event we needed to attend. Breakfast was fab.Even managed to check-in early as we had arrived early as we were expecting delays over the Tyne bridge, but we got through very quickly.

The mattress was awful, everytime my husband moved I bounced too, the sound of the springs recoiling woke me a few times. The room size was fine but the finish was very poor, considering the fancy cars out the front and the the beautiful reception area we had paint over plug sockets and on door frames. The slot you put the card in to turn electric on fell off, there were also hairs in the bed and dust in quite a few places. Surprised that there wasn't complementary water, everything was chargeable in the minibar. It was a confusing hotel, the price mark compared to others would suggest it was a bit above budget hotels but the reality was no better than a Premier inn (no issues with them at all).

The location was great, easy to get to by car. Nice walk down the steps and there were bars and restaurants. Not far to the centre and the castle was beautiful lit up at night. The doormen were lovely, really friendly and helpful and the reception area was immaculate. Limited parking especially when people park badly, but we got a space. Check in was super easy and I was already aware of the £50 charge so wasn't a suprise, bit unusual but I was told beforehand. Breakfast was beautiful, lots of choice although the plates were left on the table for at least 20 minutes leaving little room for anything else, the staff saw them but I think they just cleared when you left. The Above rooftop bar was awesome, average price for a cocktail (£12ish) and lovely views.

The only thing I could not mark as excellent was the breakfast again the Staff were helpful and friendly however the Food was below average. My Wife and I had the Cooked Breakfast which was served to the table however everything on the Plate was over cooked and dry. Admittedly we were towards the latter end of the breakfast timings but within them so would still expect the food cooked to order instead it had been left on the hotplate. That unfortunately spoilt our stay at the Hotel.

The Hotel and its Staff were excellent. Car Parking was relatively simple either directly outside the Hotel or in an Overflow Car Park a few meters away. All of the Staff we had interaction with were very friendly and helpful. The room was very good, quiet and comfortable. The location excellent plenty of Bars and Restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Very Good Value for money.
