Can't think of anything cos there is'nt anything to dislike or knock. A memorable stay which will last in our minds a long time until we come again and we will return.

Beautiful and dated building with lots of authentic old antique's of interest in every room. A very large double room we had which was immaculate and fully contained.The restaurant was cosy but stylish and very welcoming.The breakfast was stunning and so much too.The menu in the evening was very good value for money and the chef made every dish a masterpiece.The food was incredible and begs you for more. The staff went above and beyond and always wore smiles with great manners and politeness. A nice touch was a bottle of Prosecco in our room on arrival as it was my partners 50th birthday and another the night before we left.Will come again,hotels and fascilities like this don't grow on tree's and i can honestly say i'm proud to be Welsh even though i live in the south and this gem is in the north.

Could have had more on the evening meal menu, there is less than what is on the online menu. The bedsheet had a dirt mark on The grounds were very overgrown for a walk

It was a shame that out of the hotels control l, there was no internet. But the staff were polite and upfront about it, and made no attempt to mask the fact. Very minor inconvenience out of their control, but the only problem to pick at.

Staff were lovely, breakfast was incredible and pool facilities were very nice and very clean. Incredibly value for money overall, will definitely be returning. Exceeded my expectations generally, even more when factoring the price.

We were a little annoyed that pool use for families was restricted… we could only use it first thing or in the afternoon (3-5pm) which was when we were out exploring. Breakfast was basic.

It was clean and the staff were very friendly and approachable, especially the lovely lady in Reception and the bar man. The pool was amazing… warm, clean and lovely for a swim.

On the last day we found mould on the window seal but as soon as we told them as we was leaving they was going to get it sorted

Loved the location, the evening bar staff was fantastic gave us some great recommendations, the pool was great even though it was a little on the chilly side but the hot tub made up for that

Like staying in a National Trust period home! Wonderful decor and lovely rooms (think Premium Premier Inn for the small doubles). The food was exquisite - we had both dinner and breakfast. The spa facilities are excellent and we loved being able to read by the indoor poor, swim, steam, sauna and jacuzzi.

An idyllic escapade, the remote aspect made for an ideal break from busy life. The garden, scenery, etc all very relaxing. The spa was great and had an excellent hot stone massage. Breakfast was tasty. Room was comfortable. Staff could not have been friendlier.

The breakfast, small but ok. The staff are very pleasant there. It was raining on arrival & leaving so we didn't get to see their gardens which is a pity as they look nice. The architecture of the main hall is quite nice and i'm sure that when it transitions it will be impressive.

Wifi was terrible. No phone signal so had to rely on wifi which was almost impossible to get on. Once you get on it works fine but I spent over 2 hours trying to connect on the first night which was quite depressing

Although the food was decent, we found better places to dine in the area. We found the menu a little outdated with a couple of odd dishes and not to our liking. The food itself was well presented and cooked and the service was top notch.

Like many old buildings it felt very tired & dated,the evening meal was also very disappointing,I had a curry and the meat was gristly. I was also disappointed to see although they had an EV charging point there were no notices to prevent ICE vehicles parking there.

The hotel had so much character and very clean! The spa facilities were so nice and the staff at the property were really nice and welcoming especially the breakfast ladies! Can’t wait to go back and see the renovations they are doing :)

Cleanliness was a bit to be desired. One bathrobe in the room for 2 people was a bit odd when we were told to wear them to the spa...I just wore a t shirt and towel instead!

Spa and breakfast was good. Check in was smooth and easy and the staff we met were very nice. Quiet location but well out of the way if you don't have transport.
