    Literally nothing. Everything was amazing!

Everything! Spotless hotel with super friendly staff, who can't do enough for you. Our Feature Room was simply stunning and massive with an upstairs bathroom! Great for location, only a short walk from Princess Street and great for the Royal Mile too!

The hotel's location is superb, conveniently situated directly opposite the train station. This makes it ideal for travelers looking to catch a train to London or anywhere else. For those arriving in Edinburgh by plane, the hotel is just a short 3-minute walk from the Airlink100 bus stop. Regarding the amenities, the breakfast offered a delicious and varied selection, and we were pleased to find that the orange and apple juice were freshly squeezed. The room and bathroom were both comfortable and impeccably clean, contributing to a pleasant stay. Additionally, reading the daily historical Scotman newspaper provided an enjoyable touch to the experience.

The construction out front has been going on for years and can be a nuisance in some rooms. Breakfast could benefit from extra staff during peak hours.

Breakfast tables were often missing cups/jug of milk or cutlery even though we were shown to the table. This was soon rectified when pointed out to staff but feel that we shouldn’t have had to.

Location, cleanliness, comfort. Excellent decor throughout hotel.

Being American, I'm not used to a single duvee on the bed (no top sheet, no blanket). I have trouble regulating my temperature with only a duvee. The staff did a very good job of keeping the room clean and neat.

The breakfast was exceptional. There was a great deal of variety (bangers, tomatoes, eggs, haggis, cold cuts, cheeses, several fresh fruits, pastries, bread/toast, juices, coffe, tea). Only the hot chocolate did not work. However, there was hot chocolate availabe in the lobby almost any time. The location was very good for us. Only one block from Waverly Station, two blocks from Princes Street, etc. It was walking distance (if you're feeling active) to the Castle, the University and Holyrood, even Arthur's Seat (if you're feeling very active). The staff in the lobby were polite and knowledgeable and quite willing to answer my questions.

Booked a superior room because we wanted space and light, what we got was an 'attic' room on the 8th floor with a tiny window that you had to step up to see out. The lift was out of service for two days of our stay, not great when you're staying on the 8th floor! Overall the decor looked tired, even though it looked to have been renovated in the last few years, carpets and walls were scuffed and grubby. We spent €800 on our weekend stay, it really didn't feel like value for money.

Very central. Within walking distance of most tourist attractions.
