The restaurant was busy and there was nowhere else in easy walking distance. We should have prebooked but they found a way to fit us in.

The peacefulness of the location and the views, the communal kitchen space was good and being close to the pub was great.

The facilities were clean. Good to take a shower, washer and dryer and all the complete kitchen utensils. Just take some time to spread the wifi troughout the stables. It would have made It a lot more comfortable for us

Beds were comfy, seats in shared area was not very comfy. Since there was a lot.of rain in the days we stayed it would have been nice to be able to use the internet from a comfy place as the bed bunks. .

Bunkhouses good but we did find some rubbish under the bunk beds and lighting adequate . Bed very comfy and so were the cushions but we brought our own bedding .Kitchen very good but perhaps some large signs about recycling would be good as all rubbish was thrown in the one bin provided . I understand to keep cost down we should all do our bit and take our rubbish down those steps. On campsites for eg there are large obvious notices which politely it firmly or even in a joking way remind customers how important it is. It should also be made very obvious which bins have what in them. Every county has different rules as to what can be recycled so it must be really clear what your rules are.

Second visit . Location still amazing and like the fact the bunkhouses are set where they are. Bunkhouses basic but good . Beds comfy and so were the cushions but we liked the option of bringing our own bedding to keep cost down. Kitchen a good space with the long tables and benches. Adequate kitchen things provided and I liked the plug in stoves once I got used to them. Like the picnic tables immediately outside the rooms and the views are amazing! Car parking good. The pub was very good, and friendly. We had an evening meal which was excellent!! Would def recommend this place.

We didn't realize radiator was turned on and it was too hot - but that was our fault. Pub kicked us out too early - 9.45 (i think) on a Thursday night.

Great value & clean enough. Did the job for £50 for 4 people.

Fantastic facilities, which meet your needs. The food at the inn is excellent, and a good variety of ales, etc, for those who may have a drink. The location is wonderful, amazing scenery, with easy access to Keswick and Derwent water. If you are a bit adventurous, we highly recommend you try Rookin House Activity Centre. Excellent opportunity to do a variety of activities from dirt track go carting to archery. You name it, they do it, we had a wonderful time. A stay at the White Horse Inn is an excellent way of experiencing the Lakes without breaking the bank.

The steps going up to the bunkhouse as mobility for one of the family isn’t that good , although lovely food was quite pricey for a family out of four days we used the pub twice the turning into the location is tight and narrow and parking a bit of a nightmare when really busy saying all this wouldn’t stop us from staying again as staff were so accommodating

Lovely traditional pub great food and staff very helpful and friendly nothing was too much and when there was a problem with the water it was dealt with straight away
