We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

This is an excellent hotel! The staff were friendly and efficient. Whole hotel was absolutely spotless even to the point of staff polishing railings outside and shining notice board. Food was first class and all clearly the chef uses all locally sourced produce. Room was large and airy with no scrimping on the heating! It was warm at all times and the bed was large, quite firm and comfortable.

Good off road parking across the street at the sister hotel (Burt's). Central location for all shops, cafes and bars. Very friendly service throughout. Decent checkout time. Really good shower. Not the largest of rooms, but well appointmented with a very comfortable bed.

Hotel is in an excellent location on the high street, very central and close to Melrose Abbey and other points of interest, as well as shops, bars/restaurants etc. It has a lovely sun terrace out the back, a right wee sun trap. We were able to park the car for free in Burts Hotel (sister hotel) which was located right opposite the Townhouse. The hotel was very clean and very well maintained throughout. We were in a standard double room, which was adequate in size and very nicely decorated. Staff were all very helpful and courteous. We didn’t eat our evening meal in the hotel, but enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.
