“our rooms were next door to us as requested, both had a lovely view of the garden and across to the abbey. They were large rooms and had a seating area in the window. It was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful grounds to walk in and lovely views of the river and abbey. We had breakfast on our first morning in the upstairs restaurant which was excellent and hot food cooked to order, we ate in the bistro downstairs on both nights of our stay which was also very good.
All staff were very pleasant and polite, the receptionist provided us with a leaflet of walks to do in the area from the hotel.”
