The room was beautiful, emphasised even more as we got a view of a castle. It felt historical but not overdone. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food at the attached restaurant was especially extravagant, which was unexpected given Tongue is a small town.

The decor is authentic Scottish yet modern and tasteful. The meals were superb, the staff were amazing and the location at the nothern end of the Scottish Highlands is stunning.

Superb location and views. Food was incredible. The staff were amazing, particularly Stephen and the young Kiwi couple serving in the restaurant. Complimentary Sherry in the room was a nice touch

Morning breakfast was a little dry and positive Bly overcooked .

The food in the resteraunt in the evening was excellent.However breakfast in the morning wasn’t as good .The porridge was excellent however the cooked breakfast was a little dry . The Hotel was lovely and we had a great room .It was spacious and tastefully decorated.The staff were very pleasant and helpful .We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends .

I would only politely suggest not to play background music at meal times in the restaurant.

`The breakfast was lovely. The dinner selection was perfect with enough choice for meat eaters and vegetarians. My dog was wlecomed, and the rooms were spacious enough and quiet.

Service was just not there for the price of the Hotel I felt, let themselves down that way.

We were right up on 3rd floor-same room my husband had stayed in that I had booked him into 6years earlier.(Wish they'd put in lifts) Lovely touch was sherry in a nice decanter in bedroom Beautifully redecorated bedroom with lovely view and modern bathroom with nice shower too. Dinner was lively, had a good meal, wasn't over the top though and yet rooms are very pricey. Breakfast was a little bit of shambles, had to ask to take our orders as we were travelling onwards, so we were time poor

The hotel is awsome, and we have a dinner at the hotel, because only few restaurant in this samll town, recommended this restaurant as the taste is good. The room is also comfontable, and I love the British Architecture and Design in hotel.

There seemed to be a shortage of accessible power sockets and it would have been useful to have usb sockets. Perhaps we missed it but we couldn’t find a suitable socket to plug the kettle into so that we could enjoy the contents of the beverage tray provided.

We loved the Tongue Hotel, from the lovely receptionist to the waiting staff, everyone was lovely! We enjoyed our overnight stay and the meal in the restaurant.

Being fussy but a larger TV would of been nice in the room. Breakfast was interesting, we were served by someone who didn't seem to be suited to a public facing role, friendly but not approachable. I think nearer the end the manager may of made sure we were happy, at least I'm asusming the manager as they were very friendly and seemed to be geniune in wanting us to enjoy our time.

Nice big room, large bathroom, good sized bath. Hotel seemed strange, in a good way, modernised but in keeping with the building style. Staff friendly. We had a nice view overlooking the water. Weather was quite stormy in the night but despite the old wooden window frames we slept really well, not quite sure how they managed to help with the noise. It's the kind of place I felt guilty for not spending more money! We only had an overnight stop. Short walk to a nearby castle ruin is worth it for the views of the area!

great place to stop overnight on NC500. wonderful views, nicely furnished rooms and great food at the restaurant. when we were there there was live music at the bar. we had a lot of fun that evening.
