Mix up with room types. Twin rooms booked, they were doubles when we arrived. One was converted, but we had to manage with the second as a double. However the manager basically gave us the room for free. Apparently, Booking don’t always inform them about these special requests, so best to contact the hotel direct in advance with these!

Centrally located, clean, own parking. Manager was extremely helpful re mix up about rooms

Only one bedside lamp. Not a very good shower. No breakfast offered although this was explained to us.

Great staff Food good although only ate at the bar, soup and a burger. Good location. Very clean. Comfortable bed but pillows could be a bit firmer.

The room is in need of a refresh, as the floor tiles are cracked in the bathroom, and the bedside light as a faulty switch. You have to enter the room via the fire escape when the bar is closed. For us this caused an issue as the entry fob on keys didn't work. I reported that, and was told the manager would call me about it which he didn't. Upon leaving I was asked about my stay, so mentioned the inconvenience of the door entry.,and was told the manager again would speak to me about it. But he as not called me about the issue. The door had not been repaired Upon leaving.

The room,Gadgie. Was a good size and the bed is comfortable. The staff are exceptional, they did what they could to help.

I was aware that my room would be on the second floor, the internal stairs are as expected however the external ones, allowing access out of hours or directly to the carpark, are shallow treads and quite narrow so I wouldn't recommend anyone unsteady on their feet to use them.

Good sized room for visiting Alnwick for a wedding. Perfect location with free parking, I'd recommend using the carpark entrance two buildings up as the archway entrance is very tight, my parking sensors were having a meltdown going through. Nicely decorated room, comfy bed, big mirrors, accessible power sockets. No wardrobe but hanging space provided on a coat rack with a few clothes hangers, I'm not a fan of metal coat hangers though. Kettle in the room, plenty of tea bags, milk sachets and coffee pods (although I didn't know how to operate the coffee machine, no instruction manual). Simple access out of hours using a key fob to open the external door to your floor. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing serious, there were no pods for the nespresso coffee machine,we were told they were on order, we asked about a cooked breakfast but was told that at tthis time they only offered a continental breakfast but could inform us of places to go for one nearby, perhaps because its early in the season, but would have liked one there as we thought it was available, the building is a lovely listed place ,so no lift if anyone is disabled, the doors close at around 9.30 and the bar also closes, so anyone wanting a drink would need to use one of the local bars, you have to use a fob key to gain entry to the hotel via the fire escape entrances,so if anyone is disabled they would have to specify a room on the first floor

The hotel was tidy and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, nice bar area and the choice of food was good and very good value for money, you could eat in the restaurant or the bar area,a nice place in a good location

The lack of toilet paper in the room and the shower was so hot, it became unusable.

The meal in the restaurant was excellent and great value too. The location was ideal for visiting the town and attractions.
