The entrance to the car park is very tight so if your not confident I wouldn't try it.

There was a wedding on downstairs which we were not informed of. Their DJ started during dinner and it was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other cross the table. You had to walk through their wedding party room to get out into the garden. Our room was right above theirs and it was vibrating with the noise they were also running up and down the hallways. Next morning we were looking forward to breakfast but when we came down there was food and drinks everywhere that hadn’t been cleaned from the night before. We therefor had to sit outside and the restaurant was disgusting and I mean food everywhere it was awful. We weren’t apologised to or offered any compensation. In future you need to warn your guests if you have events on and if you cannot control the noise you should not be offering stays on the same nights. This really ruined our weekend and we were so upset.

Breakfast starts at 8am so too late for many business customers. The car park entrance is so narrow it is almost impossible not to scrape a mirror or worse!!

When I checked in I was taken up to the room and when I entered I realised the room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests!! The room was very hot and no air conditioning and the window was broken and wouldn’t stay open. There was no water provided, no tissues. The room wasn’t serviced at all after I checked in. The letter in the room said it was because of COVID… how long can that be used as excuse? The breakfast was packets of cereals with second grade fruit (pear, apple, orange or banana) that you had to cut up yourself. One morning there was no hot water. No staff on duty so tried to phone number given but no one answered.

cobwebs in room, flickering light bulb in bathroom, couldn't use this. kettle lid broken, no back on remote control for TV. loose toilet seat. i think the accommodation would benefit from a little TLC. No food served on an evening (tuesday)

Not complaining as we were fine but there are very steep stairs up to the suite and this would be very difficult to access if you had mobility problems. The entrance to the car park is so lovely and it the original arch. It is very narrow and again, we were fine but if you had a large car you may want too park up the road.

The hotel is really lovely, the staff are exceptional, courteous and welcoming. We booked the suite with a sitting room with pullout bed and up a few stairs into a lovely huge bedroom. The pull out bed was very comfortable and the bed in the main bedroom was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Linen high quality as all finishes. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area and so glad we found it. Free parking. Breakfast was perfect, continental and full english, cooked to perfection. We couldn't believe how large the suite was, plenty of room for 4 with room to spare. A real treat.

No evening meal available as the hotel does not do foof on a Monday or Tuesday. I had t go outside and find a local restaurant. Breakfast, included in the price was not available until 8am. When I said that was too late, I was told continental breakfast would be laid out - though there was no fridge I ws told bread would be there. The following morning bread, cereal were on display but there ws no juice, milk, water or ability to make tea. I had to elave without anything as there were no staff around, despite the flyer on the tabel saying breakfast Monday - Friday from 7am. None of these meal times were clear when I booked and if they had been I would not have ckosen this hotel. It is not set up for business travel

All staff were excellent especially Chloe at breakfast . Cooked breakfast is to order and chef cooked everything to perfection. Room ( high society ) was spacious and decor was lovely . I really Cannot fault any aspect of our stay . ( If i had to pick up on something negative , Perhaps tidy up the car drive way leading to the carpark , this was shabby, tired and untidy and not in keeping with the rest of the property as everything was else was so nice !. )

Restaurant closed. I was directed to two local restaurants (both were full) or told I could get a take away and take it to my room, which is what I ended up having to do. At breakfast, which was specifically included in the price, I was told if I wanted a cooked breakfast I would have to wait at least 20 minutes because the chef hadn’t turned up. The continental alternative consisted of toast or cereal only and there were no plates so I ended up eating toast off a paper napkin. I also noticed the fire escape was blocked with linen bags.

We were disappointed by how things turned out differently to what we thought was booked on booking.com. We booked the 'suite' for 3 guests and were told later by email (and AFTER having paid what we thought was the bill for a 3-person booking on booking.com) that we need to pay an extra 25£ at the hotel for the 3rd person to cover the cost for the linen and doing up the sofa. The photos of the suite showed a nice generous layout (over 439 feet2) with a spacious seating area with the sofa that appeared to be in a room spared away from the one with the double bed giving the 3rd person more privacy. The photos also showed two sets of generously sized windows, one in each of the sub-rooms. In reality we were all stuffed into one dark(ish) room under the sloping roof with some height restrictions. With the sofa bed made up one could hardly move for lack of space. This 3 guest suite came up as a bookable option on booking.com when one applies the filter for pets allowed and the hotel states that they accept pets.. But we were told (later via email and AFTER having paid) that the room is not suitable for a dog but that they would make an exception for us if we don't open the window - we could at that stage only be thankful as we had no option to change travel plans on short notice but it was stressful. I would not hasten to go back. Note: One may not take a dog into restaurant. This is OK as one can go into the bar area but that appears less nice and was another disappointment especially for the breakfast. Parking is indeed tricky due to the fact that the passage past the side of the hotel is extremely narrow.
