Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumRoom was too small to accomodate two twin beds, and too cold during the night, extra pillows and blankets need to be added to the room and an extra wardrobe (an icerhead cupboard) needed to put them in. Also would have liked staff to raise their heads from screens as one arrives, just to say "Hello, welcome to our hotel". And 'hello' at other time. It makes all the difference to a hotel if you feel welcomed. Silence or just being ignored didn't match the elegance of the rest.
Very elegant hotel, with tasteful, comfortable furnishings. Nice, surprising route on foot, walking through gardens and small streets to reach it.

I stayed here twice and would definitely stay again even if it seems a bit far from central London, I think it's really pretty easy to get to the main spots. My single room was more spacious than most in London, with a bed that would qualify as a queen I think, good, clean bathroom, all the amenities and very quiet place

The hotel was lovely, the staff were welcoming and friendly. I also loved the warm cookie on arrival! Bed was super comfy I had a great sleep. Really enjoyed my stay.

United KingdomViewing deck was advertised, however, it was closed and only accessible with a member of staff available to stay with you while up there (I under why but also felt that if there are 2/3 people supervision wouldn’t be necessary)… Couldn’t figure out how to open the windows… it wasn’t clear if we could just sit in the bar and chat without purchasing anything (when it was quiet)…
It was boujee… Staff were friendly and helpful… Later checkout than expected so able to have a lay in etc… It was clean and well kept…

United KingdomToilet flush broke on second use, repaired by desk clerk. Same problem occurred again next morning. Should have been repaired by a plumber or our room changed, instead a quick fix. Not happy with the lack of privacy in the bathroom, opaque glass doors. Probably would deter us from staying again.
Clean, comfortable room. My husband had a slight accident.The female desk clerk was very kind and helpful, when made aware of it.
