Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandStaff were excellent ! They went out of their way to make sure we had a suitable room( our initial triple room had a bunk bed that was unsuitable) and made sure we were happy ! Can not praise them enough. Also bad staff were very service orientated.

United KingdomLet down by some tatty and dated areas. Would really benefit from some investment. Falls short of the anticipated wow factor. Asked for vinegar to go with fish and chips but didn't have any left... minor point, but disappointing.
Large, comfortable room. Plenty of parking. Lovely village location. The food was good value.

United KingdomThere was problems on the hallway with water damage, mould and dirty ceiling, and in the room, the bathroom was mouldy, and shower head broken and water damage to the bathtub. When showering the water would go on the floor because the shower screen was not fitted right

United KingdomThe building from the outside was nice but could do with livening up a bit inside quite drab to be honest and although the room was quite comfy they were very stingy with the coffee, sweetener and milk.
Most the staff were friendly specially the blonde girl on reception she was lovely. Made a big fuss over our 12 month old son and couldn’t do enough for us and was very warm and friendly.

United KingdomRoom was uncomfortably warm at night. Reception took a very long time to bring up extra things to the room. Breakfast was a little disappointing; considering where they are located I'd be surprised if they couldn't source some good quality local ingredients.
Great location with Stratford not too far away. Very dog friendly and plenty of space in their adjacent field to let them stretch their legs - the dog bed and treats were well received! Staff were very friendly.

United KingdomIt was an extremely pleasant stay, and I would say good value for money. However, one thing that really let it down, was the bed in the room, it didn't seem to stay together, and my partner kept falling down the middle, so it did not make for a nice comfortable sleep, I'm afraid, and would be something that would put us of staying again. If this was looked into, we would be more than happy to stay again.
Location - good , grounds lovely, staff great, room clean.

United KingdomThe extensive grounds are lovely - we had a walk around them but the gardens and lawn areas just need a little attention to tidy them up. We have had so much rain lately that it has been hard on gardeners, so I expect with some dry weather, this will be attended to.
The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting Stratford and Warwick and it is surrounded by beautiful villages. It is right by Charlecote National Trust. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was very tasty and well-presented. The breakfast was good value for money.

United KingdomI had gone to great lengths during the booking process to ensure we had two rooms with larger beds. On checking in this was no longer the case as room allocation had been changed and initially I was told moving was not possible due to being “fully booked”. However when some pressure was applied rooms were finally allocated to our original request. However I do not understand how they can have been fully booked when I was literally bombarded with emails prior to check in offering room upgrades for an extra £100 a night! The staff service at the bar during the afternoon was poor to say the least and breakfast was a shambles. The majority of the morning staff are young and inexperienced so I would respectfully suggest this aspect could do with some training and improvement in order to achieve a much better guest experience.
The evening meal was excellent, staff service at this evening dinner was very good

United KingdomHowever, I dined in the restaurant for dinner on two consecutive evenings with friends. The first evening the service was very good and food too, albeit a limited menu generally, and without the option of cheese and biscuits. On the second evening, the service was poor. One member of staff in particular verging on rude, and definitely in the wrong job. My friend ordered the risotto, only to be disappointed.
This was a return visit to the Charlecote Pheasant, and a first for my dog, who was made welcome. The location of the Charlecote Pheasant is excellent, and the peace and tranquility it brings with it. Yes, it’s a little tired in places, but our room was very cosy and comfortable, with a lovely view of the garden.

United KingdomToo quiet, not much to do.
The hotel was in a good location but not much around it. There is National park but was expensive to go in. The decor of the hotel was outdated but comfortable and clean. The room was a nice size. The food was nice in the bar area but expensive compared to restaurants. Stratford upon Avon is 5 miles away and was lovely place to visit.
