Heating goes off at night and only back on at 0530. Very cold especially with a small child. Shower too cold to use. Toilets system very loud and anyone using it in the hotel will wake people up

    Food. Comfy beds. Nice staff

The bathroom is quite cramped, but not a problem at all for a short stay!

The bed was comfy, the cooked breakfast was lovely and Sky TV is a nice touch.

The Landlord got a little drunk and we were greeted later that evening by the landlord screaming from behind the fence why The F is that door still open! TBF he did apologise for his foul language! It did remind me a little of Fawlty Towers Don’t mention the war scene I would say the room was little basic but comfortable.

The location was lovely set in the heart of the village we were greeted by the owner and shown our room! Riley and his girlfriend the couple behind the bar couldn’t do enough for us! We had a lovely evening meal and there was a couple of draught ales and an amazing selection of Gins! We also had a great time watching the Rugby at our request.

Pleasant and helpful staff I need of refurbishment but clean and comfortable Bed was bliss, room good size Food tasty although overpriced for portion size Lovely garden area to sit out in Place secure Ample parking Breakfast available at extra cost Tea facilities in room...and biscuits

Due to the Macerator in the bathroom it is very noisy when anyone uses the taps, shower or flushes the toilet. It is very dated and in need of a freshen up and maybe a carpet clean too but the beds and bathrooms were clean and suited our needs for a quick overnight stop off on the way home from France.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We had a large group of 10 (2 families spread over 3 rooms) and they were great accommodating us all for dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent, would really recommend eating here when you stay.

Needs some updating. Damaged plasterwork on stairs, old fashioned patterned carpets in bedroom and rusty sink and shelf fittings but all that takes money.

We don’t like to put negative comments on our reviews as the positive ones always out number the very few we come across, but the real problem we encountered was the toilet flushing system which wasn’t designed for its job. This resulted in every time it was used the mulching system was so noisy and never completely worked every time hence having to repeat it again making even more noise for other occupants next door.

A lovely little village B&B which for us was very handy for our journey on the Euro Tunnel at Folkestone A very quiet place and very helpful staff who make your stay as pleasant as possible

THe hotel is obviously working to a budget and in the process of some upgrading.WiFi was not available. Salt and pepper pots in the bar, were just as they had been bought from Aldi, as was the vinegar bottle.

The bed was comfortable and the food in the bar was good. Location is excellent for Eurotunnel.
