A simple, quite comfortable hotel room, with a good breakfast and very friendly staff.

Road outside our room had very heavy traffic during the day, which was noisy. It eased off at night. It seems to be normal in Berwick Upon Tweed for people to bring their dogs inside restaurants. Someone brought a big dog into the breakfast room at one point and no one batted an eye.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Relatively quiet at night. Good breakfast. Clean. We were able to leave our bags near reception for a few hours after we checked out.

Great location next to the station, easy walk into town. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice self-serve buffet with a range of options available. Perfect stop-off whilst exploring the area.

Convenient location (across from train station and short walk to city center). Comfy bed. Nice shower. Restaurant and bar on site. Friendly staff. Although it’s above a pub, the bar closes fairly early and it was not loud. Very enjoyable place to stay.

My second stay here and it was great again. Very clean and comfortable. Appears to be a well managed hotel with efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Great food too! If you have time to walk of cycle, the coast path to Holy island is impressive.

Room right on main road - noisy as had to have window open for ventilation. Street light right outside and thin curtains - it never got dark! Shower electric and poor pressure and flow. Breakfast - very limited cooked choice - English or versions of.

    History... Clean and tidy.

the only negative, and I am really nit picking, was no lift. getting on a bit, and although the stairs are not impossible, it takes a little while,

everything was great, breakfast, room, and dinner. Staff, location, and cleanliness.

Internet didn’t work in room. Had to go in corridor to get signal. No view. Only window was a very high skylight and as it rained this was very noisy. Smallest sink I’ve ever seen and not very practical.

Lovely staff - very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

All advertisements on booking sites list a 2pm check-in time (confirmed by on duty staff at 12p) but different staff on duty at 2p stated a 4p check-in time.

Lovely, spacious, clean room with a very comfortable bed! Train station is just across the street, so perfect for a one night stay. There was no cost bag storage available if you arrive a bit early before check-in.

For the money and hotel grade, nothing. We heard a couple of freight trains in the night, but it was hot June and our window was open, so, fine, and we were just as likely to sleep through them after the first (strange room) night.

Great breakfast, cooked to order and on table within 10 mins. Staff friendly and helpful local advice. Station and bus stops about 40 metres away. Arriva bus to Alnwick (castle +, gardens ++++); and Bamburgh, Seahouses (boats for Farne and Holy Islands - plan for timings); also multitude of Travelsure & Border buses (again check service regularity. Walk to harbour about 10 - 15 minutes. Town guided walk very worthwhile from tourist info / library.
