Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIf I have to moan about anything, and this really is miniscule, the bed was maybe a little hard. Also, dogs are welcome at this hotel, so be prepared that your breakfast may be disturbed by barking. (Not the hotel's fault just the dog owners.) Otherwise, there wasn't much else to complain about.
The eggs benedict was a great start to my day. Our hotel room was a good size and had a lovely sea view. It was a relaxing stay and the staff were very accommodating. Great location for heading into the town too.

United KingdomGreat location. Very spacious room, great view of the sea and the whole place was clean. Breakfast in the morning was superb and literally sets you up for the full day. The staff are so friendly and super dog friendly with nothing to much trouble for us or our dog. Will definitely be back for further stays in the near future with family living in the area

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.
The location opposite the sea front, and the WSR railway station was perfect. Everything was clean and our room was lovely. The staff were fantastic- from the lady who checked us in on Sunday afternoon , to the lady who was serving us for breakfast. We managed to leave a coat and a shirt in the wardrobe - which we didn’t notice until 24 hours later as we were checking out of another hotel in Devon ! I phoned your hotel and spoke to a lovely helpful gentleman called Matthew- who very kindly arranged to post the left items to us- free of charge ! They arrived on the Wednesday morning ! What fantastic service- thank you Matthew !

United KingdomSome furniture/fittings a little worn but that fitted in with the style and ambience of our room and did not affect our stay at all and i would ask for the same room again.
Excellent very large room, two big windows giving superb views. room was very comfortable with a sofa, small table ( originally a metal travel trunk) . The staff were very helpful, plenty of tea/coffee in the room and were happy to give fresh milk each day. Comfortable bed and radiator worked properly. Brilliant location. Good breakfast . Must go again.

IrelandParking was difficult, very few spaces for the hotel if any - no obvious designated spaces. The public car park was only a short distance from the hotel but as we arrived when it was dark it was not possible to see clearly where we were to park. Also didn't feel very safe place to leave the car.
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast choices were excellent. The staff were very helpful and we liked the way it was supporting the local community.

The location was great.Opposite the sea .Walking distance to pubs restaurants shops etc.A varied high street of days gone by and busy and friendly. The staff were very friendly especially Jess who was on duty when we arrived.I love the ethos of the hotel being a part of YMCA scheme to include youngsters on apprenticeships .

United KingdomWhilst I had no problems, the hotel carpark was full and some guests parked on double yellow lines and were booked by a very keen traffic warden. My advice there would be to buy a ticket for the carpark it’s cheaper than the fine.
In a convenient location, plenty of adjacent parking. It was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

United KingdomWe were on the top floor and there was no lift. After walking round the harbour I struggled to climb up the stairs. Also the TV needed to be switched on/off at the wall behind the TV unit. This was really awkward. It was a shame there were no evening meals there. It meant we had to go out to find a restaurant every evening.
The staff were excellent. Breakfasts were really good.
