    Limited car parking.

Staff were very helpful. The hotel is very old world. The breakfast was freshly cooked and to a good standard.

The room was basic but adequate and would benefit from some fairly minor maintenance. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking at rear was a bonus.

There is a lot of black mould in the grout of the bathroom in room 106 which is most likely compounded by the fact that the extractor in the bathroom doesn’t work. Outside the front door is the kitchens along with a noisy extractor fan and noisy staff. The room lacked basics you’d generally expect to be provided - a litter bin for example. Whilst this is an economy room, a bin should be provided as standard. The window didn’t open and no fan - so in the summer that room would be horrific. The tap inside the toilet cistern was running/ dripping during the night which was a bit annoying. Oddly only 3 pillows on a double bed - not an issue but you’d expect both sides of the bed to have the same. Room which is accessible to literally anyone was unlocked on arrival - a bit disconcerting knowing that anyone could have walked in before I got there. Couldn’t mention this to staff at checkout as nobody was on reception - just a pile of keys. None of this would stop me from staying again, but there’s room for improvement and I hope this feedback is taken on board.

The staff member checking me in was pleasant - very friendly and engaging. The bed/ mattress itself was firm but comfy. The carpet/ bedding/ towels etc were clean and fresh. The standard of decor was good, contemporary and the room I was in was very generously sized. The room was good value overall at just over £40.

Basic room. Needed to ask for coffee/ tea making facilities. No rails in bathroom for towels. No shelves in shower for placing soap or shampoo on, had to bend to pick them up from floor. Toilet roll above cistern plenty of wall room at side to place holders. Very noisy from disco and bar customers.

The location. Staff. Food and drink.

My only gripe (which was more a fault of my own) was returning early in morning hours after a night out, we couldn't get back into hotel very easy, but the night staff were very friendly and made sure we were guests and it was secure ect, so not really a fault but more of a FYI situation.

Staff were brilliant and were friendly and helpful. Clean and well kept and rooms had no bother of external noise.

The hotel doesn't have a kettle or coffee and tea facilities and when we ask about it ,they said that are too many rooms to buy for but we can ask in the reception if we want one and they will give us.

The character of the hotel. The location ,it is in Stourbridge High Street ,very close to the bus station as well as the subtle train to Stourbridge Junction train station.

    Service at breakfast

Breakfast was a shambles... took over 15mins be served a coffee...we were the first ones in dining area and a further 30 mins to receive breakfast which had a few things missing of it that were stated on the menu.... breakfast itself was very nice but the male server did not have a clue what he was doing I'm sure he was new to it and will improve

    Nothing

Perfect location within the town, easy access to the M5. Staff were exceptional, friendly and informative, particularly Amit. Room was clean, comfortable and functional. Thai food for dinner was excellent, as was the full English breakfast the next morning. Exceeded expectations for a 3 star hotel, would definitely return!

The bathroom had recently been refurbished and the friendly gentleman who runs the hotel with his wife asked me how our stay was, when checking out. Only a small downside is that there weren't any towel rails or door hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes/towels when having a shower, so I had to place everything in the sink. He thanked me for my feedback & said would pass this on to the company who own the hotel, so overall nothing major.

Comfy beds, crisp clean sheets & towels, hot shower & good choice of brekkie, which we could enjoy at our leisure. Well priced bed & breakfast for the night in a historic hotel with free parking. Central & easy to find.
