Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germanyinternet in the terrace was nonexistent and sometimes netflix was a bit slow. it would have been useful if there were tea towels in the kitchen and some basics like oil and sallt and pepper as the flat was for self-catering. but overall, it was a great stay and cadiz was an excellent choice for a relaxing city break.
the property was less than 5 min to the promenade and 10-15 mins to the market. the facilities inside the flat were as expected and what we needed. kitchen was well appointed and laundry facilities were very good.

United KingdomMost of these observations are minor, but sometimes it's the small things that make all the difference. WiFi very weak in kitchen, often no connection at all. I spent most of my time up there to avoid climbing up and down the stairs and the breakfast bar would have been comfortable to work at but that was impossible. In the facilities section of the listing it says there is a desk but there is no desk. I had problems getting in, apparently the lock hadn't been activated, so I had to contact the agency. They were very fast in their response and sorted it out remotely. It made me very nervous about using the app to get in though. Also no welcome pack had been left for me and I had to go to the office to get it. It was a bottle of Muscatel and some clothes and dish detergent for the kitchen but no drying clothes, I managed to extract some from the girl who told me they had stopped leaving them in the apartment due to Covid. That doesn't make sense to me, if they can launder the sheets and towels why not drying clothes? There was nothing to clean the bathroom, no clothes or sponges left for that, and only 2 toilet rolls left for a full week. Most other apartments I have stayed in provided some kitchen basics, oil, teabags, coffee, sugar but there was nothing here. Without any oil or basics there wasn't much point having a well equipped kitchen, of course, not everyone will want to cook but if you do you don't really want to have to buy all the basics. There is only air conditioning on the top floor, in the kitchen. Wasn't a problem for me but for anyone coming in the summer months it could be. There is a large fan on both of the lower floors. There is built in seating on the roof terrace but it is very narrow for lying down, your arm dangles off the edge. A couple of sun beds would make a huge difference and for an apartment that, apparently, charge €2,000 a week in July, I think the cost would be justified.
Undoubtedly one of the best locations in Cadiz with spectacular views from the roof terrace but the property is let down by a few minor details. Good points - excellent heating (I was there in January). Very clean throughout. Really hot water. Comfortable bed. Kitchen well equipped, even had an electronic orange press and a blender so I was able to make juice and smoothies. Sun all day on the roof terrace. Patches of sun on the lower terrace throughout the day, I imagine in summer it would get a lot more. WiFi strong in living room and bedroom. Agency very prompt in responding to messages.

United KingdomIf you are not technically minded this is not the place for you. Apps/ codes/downloads all needed. You have to 'check in' to the apartment so you don't get locked out. Inundated with emails prior to arrival. My partner is pretty tehno savvy and he swore a lot!!!! Not for us.
Great apartment & location - facilities in apartment were exceptional. Great terraces. Comfy bed.
