It’s perfect. Very high standards of comfort and everything you need. Tremendous views from the Crows Nest bedroom, looking both North and South. The wood burner on a Winters night is just bliss. Such a peaceful location but just a few minutes walk to Main St of Seahouses.

Nothing along thicker curtains in the 1st floor bedrooms would have been nice. Also, not the proprietor’s fault but other people staying in rentals in the square didn’t keep to the parking which made that difficult.

Amazing location right by the harbour. Stunning views from top floor. Very comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated, very homely and lovely extra touches - speciality teas etc and welcome basket.

Wish we'd received more exact details on the location - arrived in the dark during heavy rain and the postcode just took us to the general area. However, owners super helpful when we contacted them. The entrance to the carpark in a small side street was very tight especially for a 4x4. It didn't spoil the holiday, of course, but trying to avoid scraping the paintwork was a challenge.

Location ...everything within walking distance. The house had everything we needed and more. Communication with owners friendly and helpful.

Nothing every thing was perfect

The cottage was perfect in every way cosy spotless very well equipped stunning views from the top bedroom. Location was great with some nice pubs close by, the host left a nice little welcome hamper.

The stairs are very steep… but we did know this in advance and decided to go ahead, so that’s not down to the owners.

Gosh, very well stocked for food and amenities- showing a lot of care and thought had gone into this. The owners took time and effort to answer our pre-booking questions and were kind and helpful. Very clean and very comfortable. Loved the suggestions for takeaways, restaurants, places to visit etc. We would definitely stay again.

Navigating the archway into Sunnieside Square was a bit tricky, but we managed it. The first day someone had parked which made it difficult to turn into the arch. The next couple of days were ok as someone had put plastic bollards out which was a great help.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very generous and left us a welcome selection of goodies which was a lovely surprise.

Sunnieside Cottage is absolutely gorgeous - with a large bedroom on the top floor which has tremendous views over to Bamburgh Castle. The hosts provide everything you could wish for with lovely treats on arrival too. The cottage is incredibly well-equipped and comfortable and the location is a short walk away from all that Seahouses has to offer.

We found the parking tricky as the designated space wasn’t always available. Fortunately for two of the days we didn’t need the car. The cobbled area was uneven at the entrance to the cottage which might be a hazard for someone who isn’t very agile.

The location was central to the harbour and town. The cottage had so many little extras provided for us. Milk, wine, chocolates, cheese and so many herbal teas which I really enjoy. Thank you both.

Parking was a little tight at the cottage.

Ideal location, close to the harbour for boat trips, coast, small shops & restaurants/pubs. Had relaxed feel.

the stairs up to the top floor would be difficult for elderly/infirm/kids

the owners had attention to detail throughout. all little things had been thought about eg even a first aid kit.
