We had a slight panic as we struggled to get the main door open to get out on the morning we left, the owner did show me that the night before and said it was stiff. I would suggest a new lock for this to make it easier for people to leave the premises if they need to go before everyone is awake or there is an emergency.

We arrived quite late on the Friday and struggled to find somewhere to eat. The B&B owner vey kindly checked with a nearby restaurant and managed to get us a table at very short notice. The room we had was lovely and the bed very comfy. Bathroom clean and we had a really nice view of the harbour. It was a particularly warm evening and there was a fan in the wardrobe we used, that was a God send. The next day we caught early boat at Kennacraig so had left before breakfast started, however the owners had made us sandwiches which they left in the fridge with yogurts. We really appreciated this. Hopefully if we stay again, we will have time to try the breakfast.

Mark and Aby are super helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fabulous, and Abys Mexican porridge is delicious 😋 We had a twin room where the private bathroom was across the hallway, which really didn't bother us at all. It's clean and a great little place to stay. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Struan House. The room had a great view across the harbour and was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed breakfast and the friendly ambience created by the owners.

Wanted somewhere near to the ferry after coming back from Islay. Friendly and warm welcome, on arrival the owner asked if we had booked for dinner and when we stated that we hadn't he quickly arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant. 2nd floor room overlooking the working harbour, caught a glimpse of the local seal. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Fresh milk available for tea and coffee. Really good breakfast including mexican porridge of which I was a little sceptical but turned out to be superb and home made preserves. We were presented with some home baked cake on leaving which was enjoyed with a brew on Loch Lomond later in the day.

Everything was just perfect . Room had everything needed . Nothing was a bother to Mark and Aby ,they were extremely accommodating . Breakfast was excellent, including homemade jams and the famous Mexican Porridge - will definitely recommend and hopefully return .

Having to carry heavy motorcycle gear up to the top floor. To be fair to the hosts, we hadn’t told them that when we booked. They did say that had we contacted them they would have put us on a lower floor. Can’t be any fairer than that.

Exceptional breakfast, the Mexican porridge was a particular highlight. Everything was fresh and very well cooked and presented.

A beautiful B&B, very well maintained and exceptionally clean in a fantastic location. The hosts Mark & Aby were both very friendly and made us feel at home. They also provided recommendations on where to eat locally. Don’t miss out on Aby’s Mexican porridge at breakfast! It was delicious.An altogether perfect stay, would highly recommend!

The only slight quibble was the wooden footboard at the bottom of the bed which prevented one of us from fully stretching out.

A lovely welcome from such a nice couple. A generous quantity of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits was provided in our room, a most delicious breakfast including delectable Mexican porridge which I am sure will not be found in any other B & B in Britain! And, to cap it all, we were given a little bag of freshly made muffins & biscuits as a leaving present. We'll be back!
