Rooms could do with update in terms of having better sound insulation especially door which let alot of light through in hallway. Bit noisy from other room from just general use( showers, talking) I always sleep well but woke slightly on occasions Bathroom very clean and worked well.

Amazing location and walking around the grounds of house was very pleasant. All facilities looked amazing and food from short stay

It was short staffed in the restaurant. Breakfast was very busy, tables were not cleared quick enough . No bowls, lack of selection for price paid.

Set in beautiful grounds with view of the lake. We had the four poster bedroom with bath in the bay window. We also had a balcony overlooking the grounds.

Nothing to dislike at all in terms of the property, it was fantastic. All the staff apart from one were really friendly and helpful. The receptionist upon arrival was grumpy and made us feel we were being a nuisance when checking in!

Gorgeous hotel, beautiful location and surroundings. Facilities were great. Beds were super comfortable.

Food disappointing, very varied menu but the food didn’t hit the spot. Room we had was very small and although clean, the bath was very old and needs replacing. Mould on ceiling over shower. Some areas outside need maintenance, loose slabs etc, could be dangerous.

The room was very small and parts of the hotel are a little rough around the edges, they need to get the paint brushes out!

The hotel is set in beautiful peaceful grounds, plenty of parking and we had a walk around the gardens too. We have nothing but praise for the staff, make sure you keep them! The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere though the food is basic pub fare there was enough for veggies and reasonably priced.

Room small and far too hot. Unable to turn heating down. Service in restaurant slow as understaffed. Staff on duty were brilliant but not enough of them.

The property is a little past its prime. A facelift and upgrade would not be amiss.

Comfortable bed, lots of hot water for the bath and shower, good location for visiting attractions, great wait staff (especially Tyler who was helpful all three days). The scones served with the cream tea were warm and freshly made.

The rooms are dated and a bit small but for a few nights stay it is fine.

This hotel has character, if you have time, the grounds are beautiful and well worth a walk. The price wasn’t as extortionate at the Premier Inn.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The room was massive, with a really comfy bed and fridge which was great. Lovely bathroom, very clean. The hotel itself if really nice, gorgeous grounds to explore. We had a really nice dinner in the restaurant where the staff were friendly and attentive.

It was a bit tired. Lights by the bed didn’t work. No light bulb in lamp on dressing table. Cracked sink in the bathroom. Greeting by receptionist, poor. Meghan at breakfast was doing the whole service by herself. Greeting, serving, filling hot food etc on buffet. Cleaning tables. Required more help. Senior management walked through service and didn’t help. Other guests commented on this also.

It was clean, large room. Great service by Sam at dinner. Fantastic service by Meghan at breakfast.
