Great breakfast, we counted 14 different fruits in the fresh fruit salad. Delightful hosts, we had so much fun. And they gave very good advice on walks and other things to do (Exmoor Forest Safari!). And the area is stunning. Don't only use this as a stop over on your way to Land's End, it's well worth a week's holiday.

The location was perfect for exploring Lynton. Our host Drew was very helpful in suggesting a nearby restaurant and booking a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was outstanding! We thought parking on the street would be a problem, but after 4pm, spaces conveniently opened up. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed.

We chose the smaller room, which had a very small bathroom. The facilities were good and we had no complaint over them, but worth noting in case someone else requires or prefers more space.

Penny and Drew were fabulous hosts, would happily stay at the South View Guest House again. The breakfast was also one of the best I've had in a B&B. It is also in a great location.

Breakfast was nice but a little overcooked eg scrambled eggs a bit hard and rubbery. Not a huge problem though!

the shower has a risk of too hot water due to an in my eyes unnecessary special system.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms very comfortable. the breakfast was the best I ever had with any Guest House stay: at the check in you are asked what exactly you like and they make it superfresh. the fruit salat was extraordinary and has like 12 different fruits. wow!

Drew and Penny are very good host, friendly and welcoming. The beds are clean and comfortable Penny’s breakfast sets you up for the day, the fruit salad is a delight, the cooked breakfast is superb.

I had not checked that there was parking, although if you arrived at 4pm or after you could park on the road outside until the next morning. This is no reflection on the B&B, but all the tables at every restaurant were already booked the Friday evening we were in Lynton! In the end it was fish & chips takeaway, or walk down to Lynmouth - which we did, we gathered there was a Thai restaurant about a 10 min walk away, but we did not have an internet connection to check that they had availability!

The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. There was a lovely walk just a short drive away, or if you were feeling energetic you could walk down to Lynmouth then around the cliff path and back again, although the last part would be on the road!
