It was a bit of trial and error to get to the right temperature in the shower but that’s expected on the top floor of a 3 bed property such as this. Honesty, it wasn’t a deal breaker. If we are ever in the area again, we’d stay here, no questions asked.

The property is beautiful, inside and out. Every room is decorated to a high standard, and feels expensive! The garden has a natural and ‘fairy-like’ feel, but is well maintained, and so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well for the 4 nights we stayed. Their dedication to the environment, being sustainable, recycling, locally sourced produce etc. is a lovely touch. There is a great selection for vegetarians/vegans/other dietary requirements at breakfast - this is certainly not an afterthought like many places I have been to, and is one of the reasons I chose to stay here. Meat eaters (like my partner) will also never go hungry - the sausages and bacon received rave reviews. The hosts are extremely attentive and genuinely seem to love what they do. They are knowledgable about the area and can recommend many things to do in town and surrounding areas. From the moment we arrived, we instantly felt at ease and we were welcomed into their home with open arms.

Easy parking, excellent breakfast, room was clean nicely decorated. Lewis & James were very accommodating. Unfortunately I was taken ill during our stay and I can’t thank Lewis & James enough for their hospitality especially with Alison having to stay in the hotel on her own.

Really nice decor, very welcoming and great size room. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful cooked. Everything was delicious including great quality products. The host James which was on his own the weekend we’ve visited even went the extra mile and offered us a delicious almond cake. He is an amazing host very polite and made us feel very welcome, thank you so much

The only very minor downside was the shower - the pressure was not the best and dropped out a bit (as did temperature). Would 100% come back!

Lewis was a fantastic front of house host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a great one. There were some really lovely personal touches that made it extra special, like home made cookies in our room on arrival. We were in the smallest room in the property I think, but it was still a decent size for a couple nights and it was comfortable. The TV was good, with lots of smart TV options. The property had reasonably priced drinks, either in the mini fridge or in the bar downstairs which works on an honesty system, so it was lovely to be able to chill out in front of the telly after a long day out and about. Plus, they had loads of books and DVDs that you could borrow. I particularly liked the decor, it was really boutiquey and a little different. The breakfast was AMAZING!! A real highlight, again - lots of home made tasty goodies, but also really delicious cooked options including lots of vegan and veggie options, all made to order. Parking was also good, a few spaces at the property and plenty more just over the road. Location really handy - a short stoll in to town.

Wow! is what best describes Lewis & James’s place. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay with perfect hosts then this is the place for you. Beautiful decor all through the house and bedrooms. All the bathroom products are sustainable products down to ‘who gives a crap’ toilet rolls. I’d forgotten my shampoo but noticed the little slab of Devon soap that said you could wash your hair with it and I thought no way only to eat my words as it was amazing and left my hair so soft. Then breakfast the next day and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere, Lewis brought fresh fruit out then showed us all the other stuff like overnight oats, croissants, cereal, yogurts, jams , fresh orange juice and this was before our full English with quality bacon & sausages and beautiful homemade bread toasted. I would definitely recommend this place if you like quality all round. Thanks again Marie & Alan

The owners were incredibly friendly and approachable. They went out of their way to provide an excellent service. The breakfast was outstanding with homemade extras like lime marmalade and lemon muffins making it unique to the property.

Fabulous property, Lewis, James (and dad) were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Would definitely recommend this B&B. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a lovely couple of days in Ilfracome and surrounding area.
