Our room was on the 2nd floor so you could hear people walking in the room above us. No aircon in the room so it was quite warm but there was a fan which did help.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel was walking distance to the town centre.

Dining facilities were great. The restaurant was bright and spacious. Good and interesting choice on menu for dinner and lunch. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. Large bedroom and bed.

Guests who used this hotel (say) five years ago wouldn’t recognize it now. Unable to provide an early breakfast, even a bowl of cereal for one guest. Also the kitchen closes at 7:30pm on a Sunday. I KNOW that they give you a handout explaining BUT I could have sat 6 or 8 covers down for dinner after a family function and we couldn’t even get a sandwich. Whilst this reviewer will be back, I doubt that those 6 or 8 will. As always it is the people who dictate the business model and not the staff on the ground who are the architects of dissatisfaction.

We were struggling to find our room, and when we asked the housekeeping staff to help us they all looked at each other, one woman sighed and said I'll do it and proceeded to not really show us but just open a door and point down a corridor.

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming at check in. The location is perfect and the hotel is beautifully clean. Very comfy room, all the amenities needed and I loved that there is a radio in the room.

The number of steps up and down was a bit difficult but it's an old building that is well looked after.

The room was lovely. The breakfast was very good fruit offered with cereal was great and the cooked breakfast was good. The staff were extremely friendly and always quick to respond.

It's a shame the water system hasn't been modernised. The shower had to be run for over 10 minutes to get the water hot-which is a little wasteful?! They also do the seem to have many staff? The lady who checked me in (who was very friendly) also ran the bar, was setting a wedding up, and also running breakfast-which was still being set up well after it was supposed to being served.. I ordered the poached eggs-as the menus weren't put on the tables until later ,so i didn't know what was available-but they were cooked to perfection!!

Great location. 10 minute walk from town and theatre.accessable car park. Hotel has a lovely vibe, modern decor in a old traditional building. My room was clean with all facilities.

The carpet in our room was stained, old and dirty. Really a pity as it is an incredible hotel. Please change it.

Breakfast was poor. All the elements were there and 'freshly' cooked, but my sausage was dry and rock hard. Poached egg was hard and tasteless. Bacon was good.

Room was a good size, be comfortable. Price excellent for b & b. New flooring and you could see recent improvements have been made. We enjoyed our stay. Bar was good, but quiet and manager was doing all the roles, so felt we had to hurry our drinks in the evening.

Kids under 18 are not allowed to be alone in the room. This seems unreasonable. We were uncomfortable with the staff, however would stay there again due to the fact they take dogs and the location.

The location, parking and easy access to the center is what we liked the most. The atmosphere was comfortable.
