From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, my boyfriend and myself felt extremely satisfied and cared for by the friendly and attentive staff at Ravenstone Lodge. Brett was exceptionally helpful and had a fantastic attitude. We were upgraded to the luxury room for no extra cost and as a new couple; this made our entire weekend even better. Clean room, bath robes, homemade cookies. Gorgeous dinner made by a very talented chef and a stunning atmosphere in both the converted barn - to dining area and seating area with a view. Breakfast was delicious. I had eggs benedict and my partner had a full breakfast. There was also muffins, cereals, fresh juice and coffee. All of the staff members were warming and welcoming. Our hike up Helvellyn was the perfect end to our stay at the Lake District. I will definitely return to Ravenstone Lodge in the future, thank you for making our stay become such a meaningful memory.

Breakfast was very nice! The restaurant is a MUST. Chef James cooks wonderful meals. Sorry we went to another place our second night! The staff and owner Mike couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was exceptional. We had room #6, which was apparently a “luxury” room…it was beautiful and much larger than we expected. Bed was VERY comfortable.

The location was perfect for a trek up Skiddaw. The food was absolutely delicious. The owner and all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed for 1 night but we had a great time. We’ll definitely be going back!

United StatesOur room was a little small but considering the age of the building, not unreasonable at all. Overall, not much of a negative as it was clean and comfortable and besides, who really spends much time in their room in the Lakes District?
The Ravenstone Lodge is in a beautiful location. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

A terrific hotel. A cheerful welcome from Pete who gave us a tour of the hotel's facilities before giving us the room keys. The room was clean and tidy with a great view over the local fells. Dinner prepared by James the chef was served by Brett and Pete .It was truly excellent. As for breakfast my wife and I are cereal and toast with tea only, but the menu and layout for the meal was impressive and extensive. Other residents were very happy with it. To sum up we were lucky to have found it, with a vacancy, on Trivago and booked it on Booking.com We recommend this hotel to anybody for quality and exceptional value

the most exceptional stay we have had while travelling. The staff were amazing- so professional , interactive and interested in all the guests . The food and dining experiences were all amazing. Difficult to decide on what to order as the menu was all so delicious. Amazing chefs! The room was amazing, and so comfortable, didn’t have to leave when the weather was terrible, the hotel was a fantastic oasis. Special mention to Pete who made our checkin and evening feel like we were VIP guests. would definitely return and stay longer . thankyou
