Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

CanadaThe room was too hot. Could not control the heat which made it difficult to sleep.
It was much too hot in the room! I could not control the heat. Because of this heat we did not sleep well and so were tired for our flight the next day. If this issue of too hot a room is not changed, we would not book a room in this hotel again. The best scientific research in sleep informs us that most people sleep better with a cooler room. I am a mental health therapist and am well aware of research on sleep hygiene.

Staff was great. Our flight was changed at last minute and we arrived 4 hours earlier than planned. Within a hour we were in a room, 5 hours before normal check in time.

MalaysiaWe booked a room with a double bed but they provided twin bed which was unsuitable for a couple. They must ensure to provide us a room with we had booked for.
The shower was very good. We didn’t have breakfast as our flight was early in the morning. Instead, the staff had packed a simple breakfast for us to carry which was, indeed, appreciable.
