Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location, comfortable bed, and we loved that the room had a little table and chairs to sit at. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the variety of food for breakfast was good. It was quick and easy to get into Oxford on the bus and so we didn't need to use the car. Lots of amenities close by to get something to eat in the evening, which was an added bonus

United KingdomUnfortunately I have to say there was one thing that really put me off - it was very noisy. There was a loud sound of what seemed like water pipes both quite late at night and again very early in the morning. I thought it might be other guests showering but it went on such a long time I then doubted that. Not sure what the noise was but I found it really annoying..
Overall a nice guest house with friendly and helpful staff. Room clean - a bit cramped but not bad for the cost. Breakfast was ok except toast didn't seem to be toasted or only very marginally - it was,like warm bread.

United KingdomGuest house is a bit tired - the wash basin was cracked and the vinyl floor in the en-suite was lifting and not sealed around the edge. Space very tight in the breakfast room - we had to move our table and chairs so the staff serving the food could get through. Not major issues, but disappointing at the price paid (£179 B&B for 1 night).
Great location for us and the room was at the rear of the property so away from the road noise. Breakfast was good, good sized room, comfy bed.

Service was excellent. I discovered I had by accident booked a twin room with a shared bathroom; we were upgraded to a twin room with its own bathroom - we were lucky there was one available but the man straightaway had a look (I didn't ask) and changed our booking. Location very good for people coming from London. We could leave the car here all day after our night's stay, continue into town by bus (or on foot) and pick the car up on our way home. And breakfast being included is always a winner with me.
