To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomVery surprise that guests were not advised that the restaurant was very busy and table booking was required before returning at the end of the day. This occurred on both Friday and Saturday evenings where either no table were available (Saturday) or none available until 8.15pm (Friday), which is a bit late when you day started at 6 am!
Location. Room was generally quiet apart from the loud laughing ladies at 1.30 am on Sunday morning.

Mixture of old and new,really lovely.DOG FRIENDLY big plus for us. Excellent selection for breakfast, pleasant staff chilled out atmosphere.

GermanySome of the interior decor was looking a bit tired e.g. where repeated water damage has left its mark over a long time. The sauna showers were not working properly (and we're confusing to operate, especially when not wearing glasses) and the jacuzzi was difficult to switch on - wasn't clear whether the button was broken or if it operated on a timer (in which case a notice would have been helpful).
Lovely room and superb staff. Lots of attention to detail (e.g. a water cup for refilling the iron). Stunning house and grounds with exquisite interior decor. The room wasn't too hot (a rare pleasure these days!). We only stayed one night but I would love to come back for a longer stay, it was lovely!

United KingdomSpa facilities gets overcrowded after 4pm. It is first come first serve basis so you might be refused entry if there are a lot of people using it We had to change room after out evening meal (Housekeeper that service the room and made bed ignored the fact that the previous guest was sick in the bed and left the mattress wet/dirty and there was a terrible smell of vomit 🤢) although we were put in another room (had an upgrade) it was very unpleasant and disturbing for us. Nothing like that should ever happen in a well established property (four star rated). Had an impression that the staff thought because we were put in another upgraded room the matter would be forgotten. The annoying fact is that we didn't get an apology from management the following day (just an apology from the housekeeping head of staff on the night during the move). I was not impressed with that at all. We were also evacuated during the night (fire alarm) it was for short period of time outside in car park but created a lot of panic and worry. On the day of check out there was a error in our bill -we were over charged on the evening meal bill. Again just got rectified but no apology. I found the reception staff very cold and unpleasant. It was our first time at this hotel and we were really looking forward to it, but l feel that everything that happened during our 1 night stay ruined our experience.

It is a beautiful building which lm sure costs a fortune to maintain. All rooms were warm, which was great. Agnes on reception was great and most helpful. 10 of 10 for her.

United KingdomNot comfortable with dogs being allowed in hotel when paying such a lot for a quality experience. This definitely put me off when seeing dog in lounge with it's owners even though well behaved it's not something everyone is comfortable with.
Comfortable room and good dinner for 22 seated at large table together and very well looked after by staff who were superb. Breakfast was good and staff kept same large table from night before for us. They were all super helpful and friendly and a credit to the hotel. Health club staff included.
