Bedroom a little on the small side but adequate for a single traveller.

Dinner was excellent. Breakfast good though scrambled eggs not up to scratch. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good value for money. Would stay again

Sorry to sound pedantic, but when you have such an AWESOME view out of the conservatory windows, it would be nice if they were clean.

The eggs Benedict weren't cooked enough for me, the whites were still gloopy. The bedroom was abit dark and limited views as we were in the attic with only small skylight windows.

The setting the views were beautiful. The downstairs lobby was interesting and the bar area lovely. The bed was very comfy and the jacuzzi and walk in shower great!

The room could have done with a deeper clean. Unfortunealty due to the nature of the building sound proofing is near non existant which meant that I could hear every movement/ voices of the people staying in the room above, which wasn't too much of a problem given that it was a week night, however may be more of an issue for people staying at a weekend/ during the holidays.

This hotel is in the most stunning location where it is so very peaceful. I really enjoyed spending time in the outside space which provided beautiful views. It is perfectly situated for walking the breconshire canal. The bed was very comfy and the shower was nice and hot, the staff were also very friendly.

Such a comfortable friendly hotel with great lounge areas and great food. The staff were helpful and kind. And night staff available which is always appreciated when you travel solo. A bus from Crickhowell is available but the walk is lovely and only 20 minutes.

The room was ok though a bit on the tired side, notably the state of the carpet. The shower door did not operate properly which led to the user being stuck inside unable to open the door! This was reported to the staff. Unfortunately, the room was not serviced during our stay was reported to the staff.

The location and setting including the grounds of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, a good breakfast and the staff were very helpful.

Directions and signage need improvement as we found the hotel very difficult to locate because the sat nav took us in completely the wrong direction. The hotel was a little dated, our standard twin room was a bit of a squeeze and the carpet wasn’t particularly clean with debris from previous occupants present. We couldn’t get the shower to work. Sound proofing was poor as you could hear talking from the adjoining room and their use of the toilet. On arrival there was a pile of used bedding on the floor outside our room which was still there the next morning.

Great setting with amazing views both sides. Reception and restaurant staff all very friendly and polite. The bedding was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast very good, evening meal reasonable.

Sadly the room and particularly the bathroom and lack of a shower unit was a disappointment. The TV needed a degree in technology to get basic channels and the lack of operation instruction didn't help.

The staff were brilliant, breakfast was good. The grounds are excellent and there are plenty of good walks from the Hotel grounds. If you’re a walker with a dog the Old rectory is a good place to stay.

As a characterful property, it was a little tired in places, but we felt this generally added to its charm, except our very creaky bed (Room 14)!

Very characterful property in a beautiful location.

The room was quite dusty and needs some updating, it’s generally that both room and bathroom could have used a good deep clean

It’s a beautiful property and staff are extremely friendly and keen to help! You can check in at anytime which was important to us. Food served within the restaurant was excellent
