This hotel is a bit tired and unloved. Peeling paint on the windows, mildew and cracked tiles in the bathroom, worn carpets etc.

Lovely village location. Large lawned grounds with terrace looking into stunning mountain views. Short walk to Crickhowell and lovely walks from the hotel. Breakfast included was very tasty and generous.

The hotel could do with a little TLC here and there. Old fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms need updating.

The hotel was in itself a gorgeous old building, set in a stunning location.

There was a mistake made over the booking, we were then 'upgraded' from double to family room. Double bed in family room pushed up against wall which meant one of was having to climb over the other to get out of the bed. Room was full of beds! Menu in evening same every night with a lot of items not available.

The location was lovely, perfect for walking the Mon and Brecon canal, which was why we were there. Breakfast was excellent every day.

At first this was going to be out go to hotel for future trips, it is amazing, but the walls to the rooms are paper thin, our neighbours got back at 2.30am and the walls were so thin we could hear every word of their conversation, which was just normal talking, it was like there was nothing between the rooms at all, were even kept awake by the snoring in the next room, that's how little soundproofing there was. Floorboards from above creaked a lot too. So hotel is fantastic and so were staff, just don't expect much sleep as there is 0 sound proofing in the rooms. Unfortunately we won't use again or recommend

Hotel location and grounds ate amazing, staff were fantastic and helpful too

The breakfast was very good. The rooms were a little shabby in appearance but clean and comfortable. The bar and reception area was very smart. The grounds surrounding the hotel were very impressive and a perfect place to take your dog. The hotel is very good value and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there.

No shower in my room only a bath which felt like a waste of water every time I needed to use it. The bathroom also felt like it was half decorated / still under construction and the room I had had clearly had dogs / animals in it and wasn’t very clean.

    Good location and friendly staff.

Bath only with a shower head - ok for us but wouldn’t be easy for someone less mobile. Some areas needed better cleaning - black behind taps and carpet didn’t seem like it had been hoovered.

Great value for money. Lovely view from the room, comfy bed. Staff accommodating and the breakfast had a good selection (nice to freshly order hot choice and oat milk). Nice tea tray and biscuits in the room.
